Blizzard’s artists held a the Book of Cain signing yesterday afternoon, January 7, 2012, at Book Soup in West Hollywood, California. Thanks to site contributer Nizaris we’ve got a first hand report and some pictures. Nizaris reports that the event was fun and that the artists seemed happy to be there meeting the fans. There wasn’t a huge turn out, but a good number of people showed up to get their books signed and meet some of the artists behind the project.

Readers have noted that Amazon.com’s release date for the Book of Cain has been delayed again, to early January. The book itself has not been backed up though; it’s apparently just a supply problem for Amazon on their reorders. Books shipped on time and many retailers are selling them right now, plus Blizzard will start selling them via their online store shortly.

GamePlanetNZ has posted a lengthy interview with Chris Metzen, in which he answers numerous questions about the oft-delayed loregasm, the Book of Cain. (New Amazon.com release date: January 10, 2012.) It’s a nice read with a lot of info about the merch item itself, plus the Diablo game lore and creative process.

Doomscream points us to the website of book publisher Insight Editions, where can be found readable (zoom in and scroll around) versions of the previously-seen sample pages from the Book of Cain. There are 9 such pages, though they are unfortunately not contiguous, aside from the first two.
