    Griswold's Edge - Legendary Weapon

A [wiki]Legendary[/wiki] sword that returns from Diablo 2. Note the wide variance between the item stats on the two different versions.

Looks weak... considering the extremely low level requirement (level 2), this would be replaced absurdly fast. Additionally, it only fits a single character class, and it wouldn't be worth trading. I could be way off on this, but it looks like CoJ or NC trash to me. (Like those junk rares you disenchant in WoW.)

I suggest making it a suitable sword for all classes (take off WD only restriction on 10% bonus to dmg).

    To the post above:

It will be replaced, and is weak, but it isn't only for the WD. This legendary has a variable stat. There's other screenshots of Gris's Edge with the first stat being completely different:

and even more shots where, instead of fire damage, it's lightning damage.

As far as i could gather from the videos from the beta, one of the reasons this particular legendary is so weak is that it seems to be a sword that drops every time you get to old Tristram, off an evil anvil. And as such, is a pretty much a guarenteed starter item for every new character.

Just think though. Getting one of those with 10% Barb damage would be sweet!

Question: For 10% W.D. damage... is that melee only with said weapon or spells as well? I'm thinking melee but *shrug*
