zerker barb weapon dilema

Hi guys, I play hcl us east, and this char will be strictly pvm. These are 2 weapons im torn between.

390% ebotd zerk axe or grief runeword

I have a fortiude armour and have a extra Lo rune, so what you guys think i should use. Also what would be the best weapon to put this in.( Hope it is something that can only get 5 sockets)

depends on what build you're gonna use! best PvM barb would be ww ebotd pole-titan(use ghost spear or gpa), but frenzyer is also very good. i've heard that frenzy works best if one weapon is fast(botd) and the other is powerfull(grief is the best avg dmg weapon) - can someone confirm?? (calling ASH)

EDIT: lol, i just saw subject again! zerker on HC? :xrollseye good luck mate! best zerker weapon choice would be 2handers - maces, poles etc... not sure how would this reflect upon your durabuility :xeek: ask rik!

yeah bezerk is possible, it just really hard so it makes it more fun . any other opinions ?

hmm im leaning towards swords so thinking of making it in zwielander or phase any ideals if this will beat ebotdzerker

iirc a fast weapon on slot1 speeds up the initial swing which frenzy-boosts the 2nd and therefore compensates lack of ias in the 2nd slot. however grief is imo made for phaseblades which are very fast already. botd/grief = awesome frenzy setup imo.


for a hc-zerker i'd go with botd for the +30 stats which grants more survivabilty but that depends on your exp and style. however if you'll need more ar-gear to cope that awesome itd grief has. just use what suites your style/equip best.

Im going to make a grief phase and see if i like. my ar is already 11k, and that is plenty for pvm. Also it gets the last break point fairly easily.
