zealot vs fury wolf

Well, obviously, I would try to stick with mauls/2h axes which have low DEX requirements. Also you can make crafted weapons from both these types. And if I find something nice, well that's why I have unspent stat points. They are not gonna be unspent forever.

would that affect my AR then?

let say... I have only 50 dex pts... even w/ max werewolf and fury... tat won't do much good to my AR, correct?

50 DEX points=250 AR
2 Grand charms can give you that amount. So you can get your AR elsewhere and spend the statpoints in vitality.
Don't be obsessed about AR and Defence, that's not a primary PvM concern.

I find anything less than 20K AR quite unacceptable for a Fury Wolf but then again that Wolf is an uber killer. *shrug*. Normal pvm can do with way less.

sometimes you do have to get lucky with drops along the way... i never expect to reach 10k AR on my journey through...

Re: zealot vs fury wolf

what is an acceptable untwinked fury dmg?

I found myself a rare giant thresher, does about 400 dmg... when I put it on me I have around 3k fury dmg... is that too low to hurt things in hell?

the AR & dmg boost from HoW seems so tempting... but as ppl always say... if u can't survive hits no matter how much dmg u do is pointless... so I haven't decide whether its oak or HoW yet... but to a wolf noob like me the dmg is kinda tempting... tats why I've only maxed fury, ww and lycanthrophy so far... still undecisive on the spirit and wondering if I should even max the dire wolf...

Obviously, if you can equip giant thresher weapon, you don't need any more advice for stat placement (GT has the highest requirements among weapons). And if it does more damage than your previous weapon, then probably it's better? You can also try to actually use it and don't ask us, we don't know anything about your chlvl and gear.

400 dmg (assuming it's maximum damage, not average) means about 250% ED, it's quite good, but there will be probably better weapons. Don't forget that IAS on weapon is crucial for wolf.

About AR, enough to hit monsters at comfortable level is enough. In my experience, things like resistances, IAS, damage, life leech are much more important especially untwinked, you can worry about your AR after them. Reaching certain amount of AR or Def or Dmg - it's for PvP or uber PvE characters, not for solo untwinked chars...
Don't worry about some boundaries too much.

Re: zealot vs fury wolf

alrite thx for advice again...

actually the giant thresher comes from pumping high str n dex pts... so... actually not a really wise move... but then again... like you said if it's good for now it's fine then...
