Zealot ed/ias/ar shield

Many zealots know all about exile, hoz, alma negra and stormshield. I'm surprised that there isn't any mention about the 220+ed/IAS/AR Paladin shield. Most of the defense are from the armor, and the prebuff is done on switch. Post here all the pros and cons of this ed/ias/ar pally shield.

Do you mean something like a 4x 40/15 (paladin shield) with the natural ed/ar mods?

I've never thought of doing that actually :surprise:

Pros would be the high damage..and thats about it. There would be no ICB, FBR, stats, skills, resists or even defense (shield def does make a big difference)

well, you could *possibly* get a jewelers vortex shield of deflecting.
4 sock
225 defense
30 faster block
20% ICB

and it could have the AR/ED mod on it
but thats all in hopefulness

I doubt it would be able to match up to exile. Maybe good to be used in Clan Honor or Palapk?

First off Mortic is top zealot on the non bm list now on west.. and secondly we dont need exile to win. Exile is a piece of crapola and should never be spoken again.

Besides that we own most exile users anyways.

Hah thats pretty cool, I was playing with an editor and with perfect gear and charms, got 82xx damage with eth death cleaver, and 11k+ with an ebotd zerk. (using 40/9 str jewels) The shield added about 2k damage on each weapon.

Was using an enigma, 400 less damage than a 160/36 str archon, but 200 more than 160/60 max

Another nice thing about the shield is the IAS. With some setup you have to use a crappy defense ias gloves. This shield gives you the option of using steelrend.

Switching from hoz setup to ed/ias/ar shield setup, I lost less than 2k defense because steelrend is making up for the low defense shield. Switching from enigma to ED archon armor, I lost 7k+ defense.
