Zeal with barb

I just found out that a barb can zeal with a grief if he holds passion in his offhand and the telezeal Is actually pretty decent vs casters, just wanted to let you people know.

^Lol yeah. I don't see it working even remotely close to a telezeal.

Your barbarian would get his face bashed in before you finish the Zeal.

With a Passion phase blade you'd still need 50%IAS outside of the weapon and armor (assuming Enigma) just to hit the fastest attack speed, and even then wouldn't be doing much damage without synergies or a lot of skill bonuses. Highlord's Wrath would give +1 to All Skills and 20%IAS, but what about the other 30% and skills? I think too much is given up.

I have to agree, a single-handed Barbarian Zealot is for PvM only, and then it's probably best on a variant of a pure Berserk build to give him a fun physical attack that greatly benefits from Battle Cry, Shout, weapon mastery, and Battle Orders. You can still Zerk with such a character, though, so using him for PvP would allow you to prove or disprove us.

I did exactly this, tested it out on my berserkbarb that uses grief pb and highlords. I actually killed weak assasins and sorc with it, for the rest it's useless. With zeal you don't need a namelock like you do with zerk, so it was pretty nice vs highly agile, weak sorc. Since it's interuptable i also like it vs mbing trapsins, but you could just as well use concentrate there (zerking them is such an annoyance). Anyways, it was just a fun experiment and doesn't really add much to your barb.
