Zeal question : Dr over Def?

Hi,

I have just rolled a nice 3.4k prudence and i was wondering that if i can put my eexil with it (using ss for strengh and dr, cuz prudence is in a sacred armor), i will have like 65k+ def, but only 23%dr. Is 70kdef/23%dr better than 43kdef/50%+dr ? I think max dr is more important but... just asking.

Thx

I thought anything more than 30k defence made very little difference to the chance to hit. I would make sure I had 50%DR.

Never heard that one before.

I would take dr as well unless u plan on just dueling zealers, then i would wait for more input.

I'd just get a Berber Coa 31 DR + 15 DR dungos and make it 46% DR near top breakpoint.

I guess these zealots will be hard to hit, meh.

There's been a fair few topics on it in the paly forum. If you put the numbers into a chance to hit / block calculator it will show the diminishing returns defense offers past 30k. I think the differance between 30k and 50k was 4%.

Of course that is very dependent on what AR levels you assume from the attacker, check the formula and think about what AR you expect/want to be good against.

Once you hit 30k defense there's going to be very little difference in chance to hit. However, you are going to get hit no matter what so it's essential to have 50% damage reduction.

Slightly off topic - exile is a silly shield with or without lifetap. My stormshield zealot rarely loses to exile users.
