Your Story Ideas?

I thought i would get a thread going where we can post our own Diablo 3 Storyline plots/twists/ideas!

Il start with:

" Most of those warriors who directly faced the armies of the Burning Hells -- and were fortunate enough to survive -- went mad from their experiences."

Wouldnt it be great to fight the characters you once played in Diablo 2? Since they had gone insane i thought that might be an interesting idea ^_^.

nope, maybe one or two of them...but only chosen for their unique ways...the necro is a character i could consider finding cool to fight...maybe cuz i do´nt like him very much or just that he´s potential of becoming evil is FAR greater than any of the other classes

one fighting the all the classes from the second game (except the barb) would be awsome, it would be kool if it was some type of quest like mount arreat and the ancients. To me that would be pimp. good idea.

this is my story idea. some where i saw the one-liner, "The heavens Will Tremble" and i also read the game will explain what happened to tyral since he has been missing since the destruction of the world stone, which was supposed to release a huge amount of demonic power.

I think Tyral will be the new Diablo. Dont laugh at me yet, think about it the first game diablo was a boy, second game he was a warrior and that way he was much stronger than before, this time to make him stronger: it is logical they would take the step up and make tyral being an angel the new Diablo.

Tyrial was face to face with with the worlds tone when it was destroyed, i bet the demonic power over welmed Tyrial converting him into diablo. we have seen the some new art of what diablo looks like and it is the diablo series so i know we will fight him.

this leads into my next theory that tyrial haveing knowledge of Ureh ( an ancient city that comes only 1 every 2000 years) which is the gateway to heaven, that he will uses this and enter the gate as diablo and currupt and start destroying heaven itself.

thats what i got, or atleast think.

I think showing what happened to the player's characters from Diablo II would be a nice touch. However, I don't think having them turn evil would be a good idea as it undermines their accomplishments somewhat and it would be a rehash of what they did with the original characters in Diablo II. Besides, they're Tyrael's champions. What kind of champions would they be if they all went insane just because they faced the very faces of evil and the boundaries of their reality got shattered after the World Stone got destroyed?

My ideas:

Necromancer ~ Have him be a mercenary vendor. Imagine how cool it would be to have access to undead, skeletal hirelings.

Paladin ~ Drunk and disenchanted after discovering the truth about his religion. However, he still hates demons. Serves as a gambling vendor but will finally join the player for one final quest in the first act where he lives up to his stereotype of being the first main character to die and just before he retires too.

Assassin ~ A recurring antagonist who repeatedly interferes. Has an added storyline where she is tasked to hunt down the Wizard for her crimes.

Druid ~ Depressed following the events of Diablo II, descending into insanity and becomes feral. A later quest requires you to 'put him out of his misery'. This way, he can become a quest boss without having turned 'evil'.

Sorceress and Amazon ~ Saved for the expansion, when the player goes to Skovos.

i was thinking abput the assasin too

i hope blizzard will put different storylines for each characters, in the case of the wiz, the assasin will have to hunt her or something like that

maybe in a quest for skill points she has to enter to the secret order of the assasins and recover some type of object, like the golden bird or the gibdin...

Worldstone destroyed - Heaven and Hell can now see Sanctuary and both sides prepare to launch war upon it. Tyrael disagrees with Heaven attacking Sanctuary and is cast out (via meteor). He warns Cain of the impending war and aids the player(s) as they battle the incoming hoards from both sides.

Diablo leads the side of hell as he has subdued the other evils. In the last 20 years he has regained his strength in hell and united the legions. The end-game will be once again defeating Diablo - either in hell or battling him when he assaults Sanctuary. Unlike the previous battles the player(s) will have to fight and defeat his full manifestation. More powerful, but once defeated his soul is dead for good. No escape this time. The other primes and lesser evils will make for good expert side quests and bonus quests. (to be added as future content no doubt).

this is the issue with the way you dippicting thins. one the way you have it make D3 the last diablo game, which i wish it wont be. also it would hurt for reasonable expansions to the games, because you will kill diablo and from there what would heppen. three you never mentioned what happened to tyrial. i would like to fight the full manifestation, but not in this game and or atleast not til an expansion.

Necromancer is actually the least likely since the priests of Rathma or whatever have remained above corruption for the whole series of the game except for Nithlank. So, the necromancer has already turned bad and fought in Diablo 2. Also, Diablo 1 characters were fought in Diablo 2 so in Diablo 3 we probably will be fighting Diablo 2 characters.

Wouldnt it be great to fight the characters you once played in Diablo 2? Since they had gone insane i thought that might be an interesting idea ^_^.

Why not fight yourself? Let's say you encounter a demon that can transform himself into a replica of yourself (maybe a little weaker version), mimicking some of you own abilities in combat. I'd enjoy that.
