You might be a horrible President if . . .

So let's see . . .Osama Bin Laden is nowhere to be found, the country faces record unemployment, and the social security system is bankrupt and has been writing bad checks, yet the President has time to hang out with a few 'good ol' boys'?

    http://www.metacafe.com/watch/67551/jeff_foxworthy_standup/

I know the country is running an 8.5 trillion dollar per day debt.

    http://www.publicdebt.treas.gov/opd/opdpdodt.htm

(Which is steadily getting worse by the way. Notice that on 8/30/06 the daily deficit was "only" $8,503,385,488,360.69 but on 8/31/06 it had risen to $8,515,033,652,079.62 per day!)

so with such a HUGE deficit the president has to do something, and after his idiotic plan to sell NYC, LA, and other major U.S cities to Dubai you have to wonder what stupid plan this guy could think of next.

Now he wants to sell Canada. I wonder if he consulted the Canadians.

I may be an retarded, but isn't that debt the total and not how much more debt we are adding every day?

I know the $1200 dollar toilet seats add up, but 8,500 billion dollars a day is a lot to spend.

the best part is that the democrats solution for lowering unemployment is to raise the minimum wage, woo more unemployment/inflation

I never run out of hammers.

Is that their plan to lower unemployment or raise the pay packets of minimum wage workers?

The debt increases by roughly 1.74 billion per day.

Edit: you might want to read the last article linked on that site (direct link here). Look at the date.

The president didn't want to sell NY, etc. He was planning to let a company from Dubai handle the security of the ports of those cities.

    Grr pIER

So what matters is the intention not the inevitable result?
The operation was a success although the patient died.

The matter at hand was whether or not their means defeated their ends, so obviously their ends are relevant.

If the purpose of the operation was to remove an organ for transplant before the patient died then the fact the patient died is irrelevant to whether or not it was a failure...

I know this is probably a satire post, but...

    1. Unemployment is down, at a measely 4.7%, down from a year ago at this time.

    2. You're incorrect about the deficit numbers. It's not per day, thats the total.

That's incorrect. The company from Dubai was going to handle everything except security.

If you know it's satire, then why say that?

Because people like Pier were responding to it as if it was real, with incorrect information.

Its actually monopoly money. Im not au fait with the current exchange rate, but isnt $1 monopoly worth $300 or $400 Canadian?

But there are women right? A woman is worth at least half a tree, so as long as there as twice as many trees as woman, I'll take it! Tho I think Smegs' offer is worth more than mine.... what about if I throw in some CD's? For those long days spent lumberjacking? Lumberjacks like Britney, right?
