Well, i am really pissed right now. To make long short, this is what happened:

I applied to Universities and they usually require you to hand in portfolio depending on the course. Well, a piece of **** that Canada post is, they did not deliver it to me. They did not even tell me they have it. Just today i got a mail (thats why i am pretty mad right now) saying that they regret to tell me that my application was not considered due to the fact that I did not hand in my portfolio in time which is a crucial thing to do. I know Canada post doesn't play Diablo 2...and even more they don't read forums but I am just saying this cause i am sad now. It was my favourite course of all 3 that I applied. Thank you very much for being such a *deleted* and ****ing piece of **** delivery service. They held it for over 1 month in the post office and did not tell me that i should pick it up. (They had some error in barcode thingys the postman told me at post office)
And it was Canada Post's fault because the adress was correct and the university put the right adress.

Thank you for ruining my life, I really wanted to take that course.

I didnt make myself clear in my first topic so you are all confused:

I did not sent to university anything. It was the university who sent a letter to me saying that I am supposed to do a portfolio and in that letter they tell u what to put it in, due date/deadline and the adress u gotta send it back etc..


I did not get that letter and I did not even know that I am supposed to get one. So i couldnt track it. All the letters which were sent from uni came successfully..except the most important one :( And they were keeping that letter in the post office

Ah, I see.

I'll go with Corneo, on this one. Inform the University of the error. Not likely to help, but it cannot hurt to try.

That happened to me several times with Canada Post. took a few strips off of those mailroom clerks working at the time. of course what i lost dosent even compare to what you lost,

Was it a big envelope? Something that really necessitated you having to pick it up at the post office, such as a parcel or something of that nature? Because if that were the case, they might have originally tried delivering it to you address and, upon finding you to not be home at that point in time, have left an eency weency piece of paper telling you to pick it up at the post office. I've had a parcel sit in the post office for a few weeks before I found a chunk of paper maybe 2 inches by 3 inches sitting way in the bottom of my mailbox. That, or if you live with your parents or roomates, maybe they picked up the paper and forgot about it or got rid of it because they thought it was something that wasn't too too important. That too has happened to me.

I'm not saying it's not Canada Post's fault (God knows I've heard horror stories and lived through my own with them), I'm just acting as the Devil's advocate and offering an alternate perspective on what might have happened.

Either way though, it really sucks something horrid that your stuff got stuck at the post office like that, but think of it this way, you can always reapply for the next semester or, if it's a program that only accepts applicants in the fall semester, reapply next year and take this year to work and collect some money to pay for your tuition fees and such. no sorry canadian guy it was a standard envelope which can easily go thru mailbox int he door

and as the postman guy said, it was some error with barecode at the station and they screwed it. so they admitted it was their mistake

and of course i am gonna try to tell university, will keep u informed

and it sucks that its friday today :( have to wait 2 days before any results

Ah, well in that case, how bout we get our hockey sticks and head down to the post office and beat the snozzberries outta them? :teeth: That really sucks dude. Best of luck to ya, once again.

Good luck to you. I hope the university will be understanding. If anything fails, you can always try another college.
