i only started playing this game a few weeks ago and i found my first fairly decent item, a wisp projector, worth more than everything else i own put together. i know i'm pathetic, but i'm happy

LOL Yeah!!! i did that when i first found a unique cap in single player, man, stared at it for hours...

Congrats on the find. I found a Venom Ward armor with my first character, a conc barb. It had like 90 or 110 defense. I thought it was godly, too. LOL!! I even had Anya name it for me. Now it sits in a stash never used again!

Second chances

After getting my millionth Milabrega's Orb from Mephisto, I decided to do a Pindle run. Lo and behold, as my enemy lay vanquished on the mountainside he coughed up a godly sword: Doombringer! For a barbarian who prefers total melee, this was a godsend. Sadly, I was dual wielding at the time and was unfortunately locked into position. Not realizing that all I had to do was to perform a weapon switch (thus negating my freeze-up), I had to restart my game WITHOUT PICKING UP DOOMBRINGER!

My next Pindle run didn't yield anything special but the one after that, if you can believe it, there was Doombringer again (what are the odds?!?) This time, I picked it up and never looked back.

I just do a happy dance around my computer with each great drop...why do my dogs stare at me like that? Congrats on the nice pickup, and don't sweat the repair bill...there's lots of money to be made.

I did that with Arctic armor.Up to that moment I was using armors bought from Charsi with 15ish defence and Arctic had 40 and I just stood,stared and couldn't believe how godly it was.
