    Yay!!! Just got my Dirtbike!

For all of you dirtbike riders, I just got an xr 250 (2004 model), and am loving it :cloud9: . Its perfect size for me (unlike my xr 100.. ). I've gone off some jumps at my local track (came so close to crashing pretty badly), and the suspension is a bit loose, but still great. Here is a pic... sorry i was standing while i took the pic and it was fuzzy, but you get the idea... the camera battery died after i took the photo, so i'll get some better pics (maybe me riding it). Any body else ride dirt bikes or quads?

Back in the day I rode quite a bit.

Good thing you have a full face helmet. I've seen a couple people lose teeth while riding those things.

Sweet bike. I have a 94 XR250L. Its pretty much a trail bike now. Dirt tires, larger rear sprocket, no mirrors lights(aside from headlight), plus a bunch of little things.

How is it on the track? Because mine has never strayed away from the extremely tight and technical trails I have near my house. Very steep, rocky, narrow, and most of all very hard. There is one wide trail that mainly just connects all the trails together that allows me to go up to 6th gear, but theres gravel at some parts and thats just scary.

Oh by the way, its only a matter of time before you do crash very badly. Just keep that in mind. My $1400 probably has $1000 in repairs just from crashing.

PS Where do you live? And post some pics of you beating on the thing.

Good advice. Until then, that bike will suffice. Almost everybody has to ride a rice grinder at the beginning.

Whats wrong with that dirtbike? Its a dirtbike not an everyday motorcycle. Im sure hes not going to be using it at all on the street. Hell, its not even legal to use it on the street.

The only thing wrong with it is it's not a Harley. I can't fault a guy for not being able to afford one yet. I can't.
