+x skill-items and longlasting summons/skills

I have been wondering about this: Say I have a +2 skillweapon (but with low damage). I use it to say summon 3 direwolves( or activating Bonearmor or whatever). Then I swtch over to my preferd weapon.

Will the activated skill (the direwolves, bonearmor etc.) lose the added skill-levels? If yes is there a timer ( do they stay more potent for a minute or so)?

Now I do know that a + (specific)-skill item the skill will peter out after a short time(if you remove the item). That is why I am asking.

if u switch off a +skill item, u'll automatically lose those skills immediately.

Summons keep the extra skills, and most other skills that linger also do. Thunder Storm checks the frequency of hitting on the current Slvl (and won't work if cast with no base points and the use of a +TS orb/staff then switch away), and Holy Shield may decrease, can't remember.

Summons keep the extra skills until they die. The exception is that if the extra skills allowed you to create extra summons. When you switch your gear, the extra summons will un-summon. At least that's been my experience.:undecided:

Did some testing and this seems correct. Thank you all.
