between the 2 which is more fun?

PvM: Frenzy, because it's simply more effective.
PvP: WW, because you need a shield.

But don't forget about Double Swing; with the right equipment it will be as effective as Frenzy but with much fewer points spent. So you can get max Shout and BO, or an effective War Cry. There's a guide in the stickies.

I have now tried 5 hl barbs in various combinations. The frenzy is the only one that can uber, but gets beat pretty easy in PvP. IMO the only advantage to WW is in PVP. My problem with WW is leaching. Because barb builds don't generally put any points in energy I usually run out of mana before too long. Obviously, you cant drink while WW so you have to stop and reload. The whole process is slower than a pure Frenzy. Once you get used to the speed of Frenzy your only limitation is how fast you can name-lock the next monster.

My problem with WW is leaching. Because barb builds don't generally put any points in energy I usually run out of mana before too long.

I fixed that by wearing Crescent Moon (the amulet); 11-15% mana leech means your bulb fills up quickly. However, this means no Highlords or Metalgrid.

This is not such a good idea.
If you put Frenzy on right mouse button, you don't need to namelock anything to kill.
First, (with frenzy on right mouse button) hold down right mouse button on a grassy area or anywhere away from monsters.
Now, with this mouse button still held down, move your mouse towards closest monster, and whack, down they go, dead dead, and more dead without (literally) lifting a finger...
From now on, you don't need to target individual monsters one at a time over and over again.

WW with equal quality weapon should kill faster, especially with better gear but also with low-average gear. Assuming no shield for both of course
WW has less ED but hits much, much faster dealing more damage/second. With more gear the lower ED on WW gets even less significant.
Frenzy does have that insane speed though so when you have the gear to kill *really really* fast suddenly all you want is to move to the next mobs faster which is the only real advantage of frenzy.

I'm for frenzy, for WW skips the chance to cast on striking - it's all about the fireworks (and amp damage/life tap) :wink3:!
That, and once you try a frenzier's speed, you'll never be able to play a non-frenzy, non-teleport enabled char again :laugh:

Thanks Spankeh. What do you use the left key for? I have always programmed the left for the "action" and right for the spells/tele. If it works as you say it does that would be a vast improvement. This will take some practice to get used to. :scratchchin:
