wow what a stupid death

Don't do what I just did. That is, cast a tp, think you clicked on it, go outside for a smoke break, come back and see your toon dead, killed by a frikkin lameassed plain old vanilla Returned, no aura or nothing. Level 84, had just found an extra spare Harlequin Crest. Funny thing is, the item I will miss the most is Gull. Shako, Homunculus, etc., easily replaced. Gull, frikkin impossible to find, it was the only one I had in ladder 2. Lesson: make sure you see your toon arrive in town before leaving your comp.

Well, I usually am very methodical about smoke breaks, since I can control its speed (cast tp, click, maybe go get a quick
heal, then out the door for a minute...)

But last night I did EXACTLY what you mention to go grab the phone. Came back to see my character sitting right by the
just cast TP, with merc and minion just strolling around in the dungeon. SCARY...

Like I said in an earlier post --- it's the ITEMS, man... the ITEMS! Know what you mean about the Gull --- I used to have
a like 10 (one or two for each character) back in D2 Classic and right after expansion. Now, haven't seen one drop in 2
ladders.

Once when I was a n00b, I left my sin for an hour standing around with 2 MALICE claws on. Returned to see her Health bubble empty.

Luckily I was in town (where you can't die - I didn't know that then, so I jumped all across the room to hit my rejuvs)

LoL, "toon". I like that one. Added to the Diablo 2 Alt-Lexicon. Just like Snarko. Always good to have jargon, that way only a select few people know what you are talking about.

I have done that before, back when you could stand anywhere and leech xp. Cows anyone?

So......when did the word "toon" become common to describe a character?
I think it is just his name for them. It is cute though.

I call mine babies (insert insane cat lady joke here)

I think I may have scared a few people asking my friend in channel if he wanted to go make babies. :surprise:

Lets go make babies Cy. Just let me know the time and I'll be there.

I've left my chars out in the open several times before not realising it. Usually it happens if I really have to go to the bathroom or let my dog out.

"Toon", like "twinked/untwinked" and "farming", is some of the original EQ lingo that seems to have propagated onto battle.net~

My teslafister got capped off today. Opened a cow game and a huge herd was right on top of me. The coes turned me into burger.

whats fun is to sit outside of town in a duel game when going to the bathroom or getting a drink, its so funny to be really afk and outside of town considering my "afks" are usually me sitting outside waiting to pounce on the pray the second he gets close. I did that in .09 vs some droppers, acted like the dropped me and laughed as my merc chickened them.

And btw no I have never died in a duel game while afk no one is brave enough to step outside ;).
