would this kind of sorc work?

I have heard many rumbles about ES sorcs lately and decided to try one out. I am currently using blizzard, so I don't feel like making a new one and max es/tk/orb. Instead I want to stick with blizzard and have the effects of ES.
Here is the build:
20 TK
1 ES
1 Tele
1 Warmth
20 Blizzard
20 Cold Mastery
20 Ice Blast
(dumb rest here) Glacial Spike.

stats (65 str)
dex (enough to block /w whistans)
vita all
energy nothing

does this build sound like it would work or is it a sure way to disaster? By the way, I plan on just doing meph runs with this sorc, so that is why I maxed cold mastery.

THIS IS HC BTW!!! so don't tell me to put points in energy or I will stab you saying your trying to kill me!!!

ive never tried es on any of my sorcs, but that should work.
the only problem i can see is that points are gonna be a little tight.

id try it!

well the only thing different about this and a blizzard sorceress is that it has points in telekenesis instead of those points into glacial spike. i don't think it will cause a huge difference in my sorc's damage output. so with this little guy i am hoping for around 4 k damage /w gear. (+2 from shako, +3 from cold ammy im way too poor for better ammies, +1 from vipermagi) This way I can kill meph /w decent speed as I will have occulus on switch.

well if you can afford at least a bit better than average gear, this could cut it. though all builds without blizz + synergies maxed have a tendency to... be sucky in more than 2 player games. not enough raw powwwwer. but if its pure mf ull do it alone or in 2 player games anyway. so no big prob

If you stab me you wont get through the mod-armor ;) so i can say somethign i guess. ES does not work without mana, so unless you have other sources that will provide you with 2000+ mana your only option is energy and combined with resists and MDR at about 20 this protects you very well, even without too many points in Vitality.
One of the points about using ES with TK is that your mana will take care of your life. If that wouldn't be working noone would be playing like that, not in PvM or in PvP.

Well, I dont want energy shield to take it all in mana. I am aimiing for around 50-60 percent mana taken away (hence 1 point in ES not 20). I will have wizardspike/frostburn/gloom's trap/2x mana rings. So I think I will have around 1k mana. Which hopefully is enough for 50-60 percent mana absorb /w max telekenesis.

I'm pretty sure you won't go up to 50% by just putting 1p in ES, since lvl 40 ES is 95%.

I strongly recommend getting sojs if NL, but if you're ladder they will be much more expensive so scratch that, unless you can afford it.

I don't know if maxed out TK is worth it w/ only 1p in ES... and it's not like you're a lightning sorc w/ +25 L skill tree so ES turns like lvl 26 instantly...

Woldn't it be better to just put 16p so you lose exactly half the mana you're suppose to w/ 0 TK, and finish synergizing blizz?

Your Choice. Good Luck!
