worth upgrading Lycander's Aim??

Hi,
I've got a perfect Lycander's Aim (200ed + 8ml) and I'm wondering if now is a good time to upgrade it to GMB. If ladder is gonna be reset, and since upgrades to elite items are not allowed in NL, should I upgrade this before monday? Or is the damage from this (as GMB) too pitiful and not worth the runes?

i would do the upgrade...a perfect upped lycanders was THE bow to use if you couldn't get your hands on a wf.....it was and still is a sweet bow...yes there are better bows now....legit players like this one because no duped hr's went into it

Thanks for the quick reply. I've already got a perfect upped WWS and an upped far-from-perfect Goldstrike Arch, and so was just wondering if this was also worth the upgrade.

just to check, what would be the str/dex/lvl req on a upped Lycander's Aim?

Edit: since I'm here asking qns about upping items, should I up a perfect um-ed Vipermagi and a perfect-p.topaz skullders? Would like to know the str/lvl req on these too.

Lycander's Aim is only good for ONE build in 1.10 and that is a freezing arrow/elemental bow skills zon, and for this build an upgraded form only hurts you due to increased requirements. The bow itself has:

- Relatively Crappy physical damage
- +10 base speed with only 20% IAS
- No Deadly strike or crushing blow or open wounds or other type of offensive enhancment

even an upgraded 150% WWS beats an upgraded lyc's aim

It will upgrade to Grand Matron Bow (108str/152dex). Imo not worth it since it's a great mid lvl bow, and I only use it for leveling my bowzon. Also the upgrade will cost you Pul rune and for that you can get a low Windforce already (on Europe at least). And WF beats Lyca by miles.

If you up Vipermagi you'll reroll base item so AFAIK the def will be ~8xx-10xx and become Wyrmhide (84str).

Skullders isn't worth upping because it will become Balrog skin (165str).

Thanks leohappy for convincing me to entirely forget about upping the Lycander's Aim.

I also won't be upping the Skullders. The only problem I forsee with upping the Vipermagi would be if I got around 8xx defence instead of 10xx. And given my luck with cubing things and making runewords, I suppose I'll just pass on it.

However, would the boost in defence of the upped viper (about 3 times right?) be beneficial to any character or would the increase in requirements just make it less accessible? If benefits just outweigh the cons, I may consider upping it, despite my bad run of luck lately.

Paladin can make good use of extra defense due to Holy Shield skill. Other classes probably won't benefit that much from extra def (maybe Sorc with Frozen armor).

got 932 defence on it when I just upped it. I suppose it's not all that bad.
