Worst drop ever

If memory serves, I believe this topic has been discussed before, but after last night I had to tell someone. So here it goes.
This was my first Diablo run in Hell. He dropped five items. A blue bow, boots and maul. There were two greens. Milebrega's Orb and the Beserkers axe. I wondered why ol' D was smiling as his guts spilled on the floor. Ironically, one of his Doom Knight bosses dropped Naj's Circlet that same game. Go figure. So what lousy drops have you had?

2 greens is a bit disapointing, but not incredibly rare, its just that your 2 sucked.
Ive had the infamous light mana pot drop from hell baal, which was less likely to happen than a tyraels might dropping from him.
Ive also had at least 1 duriel quest kill where he drops 1 item and a TP scroll. think it was a rare volgue.

Yesterday I was running Baal with my wind Druid.

Player's X was set to 4... the SOB dropped TWO FRIGGIN ITEMS - a blue Jagged Star and an ethereal circlet with no mods...

 

Aucon, don't know if this will make you feel better or not - if that was the first time you killed Diablo in Hell with that char, he was actually dropping his quest drop... Can't get magic items in the quest drop (normally at least rare) unless the game tries to drop set items of a type that there is no set item for. So I expect your three blue items would all have been green also if they could, there just isn't a set Maul or set versions of the kind of boots and bow he dropped.

 

I'm pretty sure it's possible for Durial to drop nothing other than a TP scroll.

 

Worst drop ever? Arrioc's Needle, Tomb Reaver and a Windhammer off hell baal. Geez, 2 trips to town to my stash for one run? Very annoying... :teeth:

 

Unfortunately, I can confirm that this is indeed possible. I remember being a little frustrated that day . . . can't imagine why . . . :rant:

 

below is my worst Hell Baal drop. if memory serves me right it was p8, and telling from the character i took the screeny with, we killed Mr.B with at least 400 mf.

Not exactly a terrible drop, but it deffinately lacked variety.

 

At least you got bolts and arrows. usually when your a zon, you just get 6 lots of bolts (if using bows) or visa versa.
Ive got 3 Els before from nm countess and a magic cap, but darkwells is much more impressive.

 

Good old Mephisto once dropped me ONE pile of bolts. Think that's the worst you can get. Althought they came in need cause there was only few bolts left in my Buriza.

I'm about 95% sure I've got a big frigging nothing once from the big bug.

Could have been after I'd killed him once and then crashed the game because of no sound though...

 

I've gotten absolutely nothing from hell meph on bnet before, but I've had better (slightly) luck on SP.

 

Hell Ball 1st kill. Isenhart's Effing Case. I screamed. That was the second IC i found that day. I was pissed.

I've been there before.

I have a screenie on my laptop of a Countess drop. Something like 3 els and assorted crap. I posted it in the ITF awhile back.

 

Not only can you make an eld, you can turn two of the bolts into an arrows, and make that drop eld, arrows, and bolts! There's your variety! :lol:


My worst drop ever is a funny story. I let a friend of mine do a couple of hell meph runs with my sorcy, because he said he was UBARLEET and would get swick drops if I let him do runs. So I let him do runs and his first run, Mephy dropped two piles of gold and a super mana potion. I said to him "Congratulations on the worst Meph drop I've ever seen!" Of course, when I went back to playing, about three runs in, I got ONE pile of gold (less than either of his two) and a greater healing potion. So his record for worst drop I ever saw didn't last long.
