World Baseball Classic

Not that I really care about this but what's with the 10 run lead and call the game rule? I have seen many a game where that kind of lead was overcome by the end of the game and it seems a bit PC to me, what these guys are going to have their feelings hurt, Oh No!

It's baseball. Do you seriously enjoy sitting around and watching a bunch of millionaires play games?

You are a useless member here. You contribute negatively to most threads you post in. Boo on you. Boooooo.

Maybe it's time for some "I feel" statements.

I feel like your face sucks!

No seriously. I can't tell if you're serious or joking... the "Boooooo." part makes it seem comical, but maybe that's just to soften the blow.

And Croup... do I know you? Have I offended you in some way? I thought only Johnny disliked me.

(Consider this the 7th inning stretch.)

Re: World Baseball Classic

That was one of the 10 run lead and it's over games that prompted this thread.

A bit of history seems in order here.

On April 24, 1901, in their first American League game, the Detroit Tigers scored 10 runs in the ninth inning to beat Milwaukee, 14-13.

It's happened many times, "it's not over till it's over" in Real Baseball, that is one of the unique things about it.

As George Carlin said (comparing baseball to football) - "You don't know when it's going to end"

Keep in mind, a lot of the teams in the WBC are Single A quality at best, while the others are practically MLB All-Star teams.

I doubt you know me any more than other members here. I've just called you a troll numerous times for, well, being a troll. Yaboosh seems to agree and, as I said previously, I'm glad.

I've been very anti baseball since the 1994 strike. On reading the linked article, I had no idea that Congress introduced 5 different bills aimed at ending the strike.

That was great to see last night. Well, since I have Dish Network (the only main service provider which doesn't carry MLB Network) I didn't actually watch it but I followed it online. What a great ending for the US team. They have another game tonight if the schedule is to be believed.

Lucky for me, Direct TV has the MLB network. October excitement in March. It was weird seeing Mets players in a meaningful game.

As much as we trade jabs, that was a fantastic zing.

And it still didn't have my boy Johan!
