Wolfbarb PvM : Full resists? How much ar is good?

Hi,

1)I'm in the making of one of those PvM barb, and as I got all my gear and just saw that I will be around 54 all resists, I was wondering if that is really worst than having +75 max all resists.

2) I really don't know how much attack rating I will have at the end, but what amount I should aim for? ( I usually go for around 20k with my melee char, but first time with a wolfbarb).

3) With that setup, does my ias and fhr are ok?

My gear : (any tip will be usefull )

- Umed Wolfhowl +3wc, 3/5/4.
- Highlord
- Ebotd T-maul
- Eth Barlog skin prudence (2942 def, 31 all resists)
- Rare melee gloves : 20%ias, +15 strengh / +14 dext, 29%cold resists
- Verdungo 31/15
- 2x20dext Ravens (and around 170ar each)
- Treks 13/15

*Will have Natural resists at a level to reach around +50all resists*

a) Should I swap for 2xangelic rings+amy for more life/ar?
b) Should I swap for Gores for more dmg but less vita (and strengh bonus, having in mind that my T-maul needs 193 strenght).

how much you have in natural resistance?

throw away ebotd t-maul and get your self one of this weapons: grief pb 31+ ias, gris caddy 4 shael, azurewrath shael, tomb reaver shaeled. t-maul is to slow (just 10 fpa)

i recomend using 1-hand with stormshield

gore riders >> treks
get yourself fhr on helm or charms (42 is breakpoint)
also forti instead of prudence will give big damage booster

THx for tips, but how can be an ebotd t-maul slow when it's written "very fast attack speed : 60%ias from the rw".

I planned to max Bo / shout / wep mastery / iron skin and the others skill in natural resist, so that will be around +50/60 all resists.

i would stick with the prudence over fort, since its eth its the perfect choice for the word, and fort aint that BA IMO, maybe a duress which would help to hit a higher fhr bp and it has decent rez as well, plus CB and OW. however i do recomend one hander and a SS, As for the weapon, yer PvP i assume, i would go with the Caddy or the griefpb.

Shoot for maxblock if yer using a shield tho

PvM is written in the thread tittle.. so i guess i'm pvm. I still think a botd is better for pvm (maybe not a tmaul, but still..)

as i sad tm speed is 10 fpa, grief pb is 7, azurewrath 6, griss caddy 4

my bad i even read it over before i posted...
if you have a prudence and not a forti your not gonna notice tomuch difference if you have a high enugh dmg and LL your life will barely move ne way so getting hit wont matter much ne way... i have a key runner, he dont use dracs and i can run all mini ubers with out regularly poting(i hate poison) and i dont have massive rez. botdtm will keep you having hi leach returns and you should only realy be aiming for 10k ar... i have 9.5 with my runner and i dont have any problems keeping him alive

Crafted blood gloves, dual leach, 8% cb or draculs

Well, i just tryed it with all my gear on (lv 80). My resist will be full by lv 87-** or so, my def will be over 31k when Iron skin max (29k atm), 4.2k life atm, 10k ar.

So it's not bad at all (the reason i dont use grief is because i need the leech on botd).

you need leech for what? mana? feral gives you more life leech then you ever need.

for duel vs some oponents i switch for hsarus or angelic combo (or both) for extra ar (hiting about 24 k that way). he never died in pvm. in pvp he is very good anti-caster char (except hammerdin, but can beat them also)

Craft blood gloves till you get some with dual leach. The CB will help some in pvm as well. A ring with mana leach will do it too but i find blood gloves best.

I see you have awesome rare gloves now a mana AR ring would give all the leach you need.

Well thx for all the tips, that's going to help me in the future when i'll make another wolfbarb because... i'm selling him for a Hammerdin !

I second this, Im working on a wolf barb right now though (im going to kill him) :evil: lol no a pvm wolf barb
