With keeping with the music theme today....

What would you guys say is the weirdest song you have ever heard? It may be for instuments or lyrics, or whatever. I'd have to go with Tool's song Stinkfist, mainly because I just listened to it (which brought the thread about) and when I hear it, I wonder what exactly made Maynard think of that. If I hear some interesting songs here, I might just have to see for myself.

The Ball of Kerrymuir

Jim Croche sang a few verses of it in the early 70's. But that's nothing compared to the 100+ verses I've collected and written myself.

Lyrically... probably "slip inside this house" by 13th floor elevators. It´s got this weird chanting feeling and is all about how to dissolve your mind and reality to reach a higher state of consciousness and existance, or something. Weird stuff.

Musically... I don´t really know. There´s a lot of freaky music out there. As far as popular music goes, "waltz in black" by the stranglers is really weird. It freaks me out. Listen to it and you´ll see what I mean.

What came to my mind (Ill probably think of other songs later and curse myself) was the Zelda theme by System Of A Down.
And Across the World of Wonders by Mortiis.

The latter is one of the most powerful songs Ive heard.

Almost anything by Frank Zappa. St. Alfonzo's Pancake Breakfast and most of Freak Out stand out though.

Musically strange is King Crimson's Larks' Tongue in Aspic, Part One. I've been listening to it all week and It still sounds strange. With the screeching violins and the 3 min 30 sec ambiant intro.

I'm sure someone can top that though.

I'd rather have Barbie commercials run through my head than that again! Or "My Buddy" commercials! Anything but St. Alfonzo's Pancake Breakfast!

It's not weird. Mudvayne is really just primal.

I'd have to say the one track off of Tool's album Aenema.......

The guy speaking in German to a crowd of people. I looked up and translated the words and he was giving a recipe to something....

Anyone have anymore insight into that track?

The recipe is for hash cookies. Without eggs.

Weirdest song... probably Tool's "Disgustipated". Yup, that's the weirdest one that comes to mind at the moment.

Liquid Tension Experiment's "Three Minute Warning" is good too. It's all improvised, and they didn't edit out the mistakes, so some of the stuff that is played is... interesting.

Beatles - Maxwell's Silver Hammer

An odd song in its own right, it also serves as great background music when playing a certain hammer using character/build in a certain game.
