Windy Questions

Okay, first. Note to Uncle Mike. >_> AFAIK, this is fine, right? It's different from the other topic which is dead now and isn't a repost and all, so.. Yeah. The other one was deciding a character, this one is.. information on it or what not.


But anyway. Need help with gear primarily. Another goal of the build is to be temporarily on the ladder, ss it, and then stop trying. :laugh:

But for gear I was thinking something like.. this? Definitely needs a lot of help.

Magic or Rare Pelt (most likely magic) (sockets?)

SS (not sure on socket)

19+ FCR ammy

torch, anni, 9 ele, etc for sc's.

The problem would be FHR.. And yes, I know it's a bad build right now. :sad2:

Edit - Considering 3/10 amulet, spirit sword, cast circlet..? Maybe FCR rings?

Spirit Sword is in the edit.

The problem with it is that it would drop me another frame so I would need another piece with FCR on it. I was thinking of going -

Pelt
Spirit Sword
SS
Enigma
3/10 Ammy (..?)
2x Ring
Trang's
Arach
..Boots are... Waterwalk or Treks? Tell meh.

Wiz has a nice different FHR table, but doesn't cyclone negate res anyway? Sort of nulls resistance's use just a bit.


Edit - is this close?

elemental caster - wiz / spirit or stacked shield, switch other items to counter that class

other caster - spirit / spirit ?

melee - spirit / ss

Wizzy is needed not only for res but for 50fcr, loads of mana and different fhr breakpoints. As for ammy, forget about 3/10, use 2/1x/stats ïnstead.

Where do you get fhr from you ask? Dancers = 30, Spirit = 55, FHR skiller = 12 and pelt can have base 10 FHR (30 after shael).

99 is bp w/ hoto afaik
8x for wizzy i believe?

Anyway dancers + spirit + shaeled helm (be it 10FHR base or not) = you hit all the BPs you need

Spirit + Spirit combo is used only versus trappers.

I thought East was more like 5 paladins in the game.

Wizzy is 86.

The point was to not just throw everything into FHR and more like calculate out so I could keep more life, though..

And okay.

I built my windy with the intention of PvM only. Over time I decided to use it for PvP and it hasn't let me down. Okay, it isn't the best pvp windy simply because I built it for PvM but it is a true match for most duellers in pub games.

I went for a 163/99 pure vit build. This gives me 5k life and the highest cast speed. In the mean time I also maintain 99fhr. This means I have no block worth mentioning, but I feel the extra life makes up for that a little.

Since I went for max life I also maxed out oak sage. And ofc minion stack with 5 wolves. Plus ofc maxed out elemental skills.

While getting my gear I had to make sure I hit the 163bp. This means I needed lots of fcr equipment.

- Spirit Shield 35fcr 55fhr
- 2/20/2 Circlet with 2 7fhr/15allress jewels.
- 2sk/10fcr/str/life/resist amulet - Searching for a 20fcr one so I can use a soj/bk
- Hoto 40 fcr
- Arachnid Mesh 20 fcr
- 2 rings with allress/str/life and 10fcr
- Trang Oul's 20fcr
- Sandstorm 20fhr

This adds up to 165fcr and 89fhr. That means you have to put 2 fhr sc's I have one with 17mana and 1 with 8fire res.

If you go for the block build you need to get your fhr from something else, because you will lose 55 from spirit. However I don't know exactly how to cover this. I'm guessing sheal'ed helm. Anyway. Hope this helps you a bit.

I use both setups (163/99 vs casters, 99/99 max block/dr vs melee). For 99/99 I use:
2/3 39life 30 fhr pelt
19 fcr ammy
hoto
SS ber
arach
bloodfist
2x 10fcr str/dex rings
shadow dancers
missing fhr is made up with 7fhr sc
