    Windy Druid

Ok, I'm planning to make a pvp wind druid and i need some help on the gear. My plan for gear is as follows:

Rare druid helm: (I want to try and get another 5nado..but not sure of prices atm)
    2 Elemental
    3 Nado
    17+ Life
    +Mana per lvl
    10 FHR

Armor: AP Nigma or Mp nigma..Not sure about this. I've seen guides say go the Mp route but i thought if you have stormshield, you'll basically have enough str for the Ap.

Shield: 35 FCR Spirit or Stormshield..Also not sure about this.

    Amulet: Mara's

    Gloves: Magefist

    Boots: Treks

    Belt: Spider

    Ring 1: 10% FCR

    Ring 2: SoJ

    Weapon: HoTo

    Switch: CTA/ Spirit

Inv: Ele gcs, Life scs, Anni, Torch

Let me know what you guys think.

A druid is a caster so I would go for a mage plate........ I never really go for defense on any char that ain't a pally or barb. The extra stat points help more than a few hundred defense will.

I chose to use Dual Spirit for the Massive Mana + FHR as Cyclone armor always takes damage at 0 Resistances anyway you can largely ignore the resistances from Hoto. This is assuming you refresh it once in a while as 2.6k lasts quite a while apart from souls which may give a little danger.

Its also easy to make up the cast.

    2 x 30 spirits - 60
    Arach Mesh - 20
    Magefists - 20

99 FCR Break point hit with relative ease,

Otherwise to be honest you have a good set up and will do well in whatever pursuit you choose.

Im not too sure about dual spirits. Maybe vs bone necro or hammerdin but vs casters like sorc's you will be low on resist.

u can always swap ur spirit sword with hoto when dueling sor :). u will put on 2x sorb item(either tod/1x wisp or hotspur/1xdwarf star) vs sor(fire or lighning) any ways. as for cold lol just forget about the resis. this duel is going to be 1-2 hit duel, stacking up resis againest cold sor is just simply a waste of time. Ur inventory simply wouldn't have enought space to load all the item u need for a cold sor along with other gears. :whistling:

Then why not use wizzy? I mean thats one good way to get high resist.

    Re: Windy Druid

Well if u going to use wizzy u'll loss +3 skill from hoto for something like extra 10 fcr and 35 more resis all(50 is u socket it with 15resis ***). those might help but not much, consider a decent pvp cold sor can ditch up to -450 cold resis in hell(-240+ cold mastery, -100 hell mode, 75 u need for ur self and -25 to 40 facet items). u'll need to give up crushing amount of gears to get to a 75% cold after all the -% penalty.

    Re: Windy Druid

the fcr breakpoint for druid is 99 then 163. right there you have 125 with spirit monarch or 90 with stormshield. for the 99fcr bp you go with ss for mb build and the 163fcr is no block with spirit monarch. it's much harder to have good fhr with mb build unless you have a extremely good pelt(or lose damage and use jalals), which yours is just average otherwise you have to use charms which means less hp. the 163 build however can easily get a whole lot of fhr from shield and just be faster in every aspect while much weaker to melee due to no block/low dr. the 99fcr mb build can swap items to be at 163fcr no block but less hp from spending points in dex so just some pros and cons for mb vs the pure 163fcr vita before you decide which kind to make. i wrote a guide on this some time ago check it out.

    Re: Windy Druid

Hmm, i guess i could try the two spirit method. I'm getting confused with the different options available now. Also, just realised the FCR i will have is 80..will that be fast teleing or slow?

    Re: Windy Druid

Ahhh ok, so looks like I'll need a 3/10 Ele ammy. It now looks like i'll have 99 FCR (Hoto 40, Ammy 10, Spider 20, Magefists 20, Rare 10 FCR ring. But will i suffer with the Res loss from Maras?

    Re: Windy Druid

Cyclone armor takes its damage before resistances which can be a good thing or a bad thing depending on the situation as it always takes its damage at 0% resistances.
My last PvP druid had hit the 163/174 FCR/FHR breakpoints.

    Spirit/Spirit - 110FHR /70 FCR
    Magefists - 20 FCR
    Arachnid Mesh - 20 FCR
    2 20 Druid helm(sheal,Sheal) 40/20 FHR/FCR
    SST - 20 FHR
    2 druid 15 FCR Ammy
    2x 10 FCR rings

    1 5 FHR small charm.

    175 FHR
    165 FCR

    Re: Windy Druid

You mean a 2/20 Circlet, right? Druid helms can't get FCR mods.

    Re: Windy Druid

I tend to use 2 20 Druid to mean

    2 skills
    20 fcr
    Druid skills:/

I really should stop doing that.... lol

    But yes I mean a circlet/Tiara/Coronet ect

    Re: Windy Druid

That would be a bad move looking for an fcr pelt. You might want to consider looking for a 2/3 pelt. Consider looking for a 2/20/10 fhr/2os druid circ.
