will this wolf work?

i just got a pheonix monarch and im gunna make a wolf with it im not sure what kind though i usually make furys with how i was thinking because of the ed on pheonix maybe i should switch to oak and the gear would look like this

i was thinkin with angelic combo the 20 percent dmg taken to mana can make up for some of the dr lost from stormshield also the um in the jalals can help for res loss and for charms like 9xss gcs and 9 all res charms it seems like without how id lose like 2k dmg and gain like 1k from pheonix so id lose 1k life but alot of hp from oak
what u guys think?

I'll let someone else comment on the Phoenix (there's not a lot of positivety associated with it), but I don't think you get how DMG to Mana works. It's not Energy Shield; you still take full damage, except now some Mana gets replenished.

pvp..no way,you will add like around 400dex to get block
not to mention no dr

Never use phoenix on a char that can proc the firestorm.

its mainly pvm i do some pvp for fun sometimes though and what do u mean by proc firestorm?and how much dex will it really take to max from monarch cuz im remaking wolf and im not sure to max the block for monarch or not?

Procing Firestorm:

40% Chance To Cast Level 22 Firestorm On Striking

It has a cast delay which is annoying.

Also, there is a good max block calc somewhere I can't find it, but if it takes more than ~200 Dex to get ~70% block, then it is NOT worth it. If you still wanna use Phoenix Monarch, don't go max block.

Edit: With a Phoenix Monarch, to get Max Block, you'll need 301 Dex for level 80, 319 Dex for level 85, 336 Dex for level 90, and 369 Dex for level 99.

Points can be spent better elsewhere.

It'll be well over 200 Dex. Also, Pheonix has CtC Firestorm which makes you unable to attack for its cooldown duration. So it sucks on Druids who have interruptible attacks

I remember the first time I thought I'd try it out on my fireclaw with caddy for kicks, I nearly threw up over the firestorm delay every second. It's like having a bad case of the hick-ups...that annoying :tongue:
