Widowmaker Question Ok!

My current sin has all it's stats saved up. I have a hel'd Widowmaker (117dex req after hel). I might use Runic Talons.

IF I use runic talons as claws (115 dex req) would it be worth it to add 2 points in dex to use Widowmaker with my normal setup (65fcr, no gear swapping needed); OR should I just swap out my ammy for a Cat's Eye (gives ias and dex)?

More importantly: if I wear Cat's Eye with a lvl 24ish BoS, will it give me any faster GA frames than my normal 2sin/15fcr ammy?

imo a wwsin doesn't really need widowmaker but if you are going to use it, I would recommend using it on a 65 cast setup over a lower one. 2 points in dex isn't really going to hurt you.

Cats eye is only going to increase your guided bp if you don't have ias elsewhere, if you have ias in your helm you should be good.

Get TienJe's opinion on this I know he uses widow on his wwsin sometimes, he uses cats eye to do so but I think that's cause of some gearing issues he has. I only use widow on my kicksin not on my wwsin.

I like Widow vs BvCs, camping trappers, and just for fun in general. Not using it really isn't an option.

i use cats eye for the +DEX so that i can nef the widow (it makes a huge difference). the IAS, like max said, just so happens to help me fire a frame faster (9 frame attack). it's the perfect ammy for me when i'm going purely with a bow.

consider your bp's for your final ansewer, either way the 2 more points into dex might just be the more realistic aproach. if you just cannot do without the widoemaker it will allow you to use it whatever gear choice you make.

Hey guys,

I played with a Widow on my hybrid before I left (don't worry, I will return...) and I found I rarely used it. It was just too annoying to swap out for defensive Hammerdins, especially in pub games. Although, it was fun to have around.
If it is only going to cost you 2 dex to get, then go for it. I mean, 2 dexterity is what? 12 life max? As rarely as Widow is used, it will save you more times than 12 life will. Trust me.

Cat's Eye is risky if it costs you a FCR frame. You need to be able to move quickly... Check the IAS Calc or Tables for frames, also remember you can use BoS if you are relying heavily on Widow and don't need the DR desperately.
