    Why Perfect Gems?

I went happily strolling over to the new Marketplace Auctions to see what it was like. Seems pretty nice, but one thing baffles me: Why is everyone wanting perfect gems? Last time I checked, they really wern't all that great, but people are trading upper-low to upper-mid level items for like 15 to 25+ perfect gems. Why? Did I miss something?

It is for rerolling charms and jewels mostly...people go for SC, GC skillers and the highly coverted 40ED/15IAS jewels.

Unless U are a lucky roller, I'd say that U actually lose out as far as trading uniques for pgems. But since the market is flooded w/ uniques now, I don't think anyone really cares....its just something new/different to do, and adds a bit of fun.

About losing out on trading for pgems to cube:

yes, i think that is the case if you trade your tal's armors and shako's for pgems.
However, you can also get pgems for:
    -sigons parts
    -bloodletters
    -hexfires
    -sanders boots
    -bonesnaps
    -griswold armors
-and all other crappy **** mephi drops you by dozens if you mf a little.

You wont be able to trade that stuff for anything usefull but pgems.

Gems make your stuff look cooler and will do in a pinch if you have no good runes. And the Cube doesn't accept low-grade junk for rerolls and craft recipes.

P Topaz, in armor, can give massive MF. +96% for four - just 4% shy of four Ists, and tons cheaper.
