    why people like ebotdz?

I got a 381 ed ebotdz that does 509 dmg max and i hate it compared to grief pb.
People say that the extra range outshines grief's deadly strike and nice consitant max dmg. I used ebotdz against my bro's druid and could not kill him. Was not doing enough damage.

Im a fury/ rabies and so is he. we switched weps and i was able to kill him with the grief. Is it because my ebotdz is only 381? I saw 400ed ebotdz and it only does 40 extra max dmg and only marginally better min dmg.

I think ebotdz is awful compared to grief. The extra range does not help at all.

We both use same gear except weapon. cerberus, angelics, gores, trangs, dungos, ss, torch, and shape gc.

First off, it depends on your dueling style, if you run up to him to attack you will lose because of his high average damage, Shift + Fury while he moves toward and when he is in range he'll get hit sooner then he can hit you, Range is important but if you don't use it, it won't be useful to you.

    Second, use Highlord's and 2 Ravenfrosts [200+/20]

You're dueling a wolf which have really poor defense, and the DS% from highlord's will boost your damage.

    Hope this helped a bit.

Well neither build needs a Highlord's but it is by far the most used amulet for shapeshifters, DS% for damage is amazing, and a skill is always great. Angelics on a druid is overkill unless you're fighting a high-defense barb or smiter.

My advice even when using grief is use 2 x Ravenfrosts + Highlord's Which will mean you need less Dex for Max Block and the high AR werewolves get from skills will be more then enough to take on most characters.

that's bs, I lossed more to ebotd than grief imo. You should have more life, max block from the +30 attributes, and more range. He probably built his with better fhr and block rate then...more shaels? or he's just higher lvl...or just damn lucky : /

Improve your tactics, use shift and pets, ravens, to keep yourself in-between him and your range. If you absolutely get raped AGAIN, after u tried that and got highlords/ravens for better dext and damage... then post back and I will seriously rethink how I got my *** kicked over the years ^^

Oh yeah, maybe try Duress against him? It'll imporve your damage even more

Fort is also another good armor but Duress is better for those insane high hp chars.

If all else fails pick up a grief with better damage and show him who's boss.

so it's been a while since I played, back when I last quit playing ebotdz were one of the most used runeword druid weapons i've ever seen.

i haven't seen what grief actually does, can someone send a link? :prop:

seems very slow, and the chance to venom strike makes me confused as to why people would allow it in duels. ( private duels that is )

Well 30-40% ias in a phase blade is still 5 frame fury. No need for Grief in a zerk axe for druids. Grief > ebotdz for me as well. Ebotdz is like a beebee gun compared to Greif. Against noobies in pubs it's not uncommon for me to have 1 hit kills against smiters and barbs, granted it is a deadly strike which I have like a 69% chance of with Grief.

first hit even from a running in vs shift fury. Only depends on fhr. I know it sounds strange but I have all ways gotten the first hit on kiba this way. We found this out by testing fury vs fury on differenet angles like. He would shift fury on me. And I would run in on him from the north 10 times. Then move to a different spot and do that 10 times. Till we had north, north east, east, south east, south, south west, west, and northwest. I had 86% and he had a the 42% I all ways got the first hit on him no matter what. On all 80 duels. I have not tryed it wile I was shift furying and he was running tho. I will do that half of the test latter on. In this test we had all the same items on and we bolth had around the same amount of hp.

Now for the arguement of greif phase vs ebotd zerk. The ebotd zerk blows.
