What?

I don't understand this thread...and I don't think we can talk about things like palapk here, since they have a forum that is both competing and supports dupes o.o

not those idiots. just melee kids in general.
lets all make fun of left click to WIN!
i remember one time i watched two fury druids duel in 1.10.
they both walked up to eachother and sat toe-to-toe furying... one kid died, the other one said 'cry" it was the most exciting thing ever (not.)

What you fail to see is the whole idea. Certain setups win over certain setups, so the interest lies in the gear selection really. But melee dueling is a different thing than zeal duels, since mobility, range etc are considered as well. To me seems more dumb to lay traps and spam mindblast and cry when somebody absorbs than zeal pvp, that actually involves creativity in countering certain opponents.

wouldn't it be cool if hybrid sins were viable still?

editing: not WW hybrids, old-school FOF/etc

editing: setups, you say? ie duress vs fort or 09+ gores vs 08 gores vs travs etc? I just don't understand the part about what you put ON the character is more fun than what you DO with the character.

fury vs fury is actually an interesting duell, the tactic is to use your range well:grin:

Think of this: Creating setups for zeal duels is more like a turn-based strategy computer game, where it takes alot of calculations, preparing etc before and then pressing ok to see the outcome of the turn/duel. Caster duels are heavily like real-time strategy games, where the finger/mouse/keyboard skills are equally important ,if not more, than your brain. I like both types of pvp, but I don't accept that zeal duels are dumb,it involves endless hours of thinking and testing.
