why not good enough for exile???

i found a 4 socket kurast shield with 42 all res. which seems like it would be a pretty descent exile, but its non eth. now i know that means a huge difference in defence bonus but it still seems like it would make a great exile. my problem is im a hammerdin pally and have no need for an exile shield, but when i tried to trade it absolutly no one wanted it even for pretty cheap. does being non eth make that big of difference?

Yes, it does make a huge difference. People are always wanting eth sheilds. they are all shootin for eth ones. like my friend said "you dont want an non-eth exile" :)

It does. People want to take advantage everywhere they can. Just like putting Enigma in a Mage Plate to save strength points, Exile adds a ton of defense at no penalty to you, when in an eth shield

The difference between a non ethereal and an ethereal shield can make up for like +300 to +400 defense just on the shield. After all your %defense from skills etc this means quite something. That's why you should only make exile in an ethereal elite shield IMHO.
