    why MF?

whats the point is making a MF character just to gear your lower level...

i mean what are the main reasons to play D2 at the end of the game when you've got your favorite class at 85+

like what do you do? PvP?

dont play one, play all. at this state of the ladder you could aswell just key run and trade for everything, but where is the fun in that? rather test your luck and use what you find. let "fate" decide what your next build will be.

People MF for different reasons. Some people, myself somewhat included, just simply enjoy to MF. Others, myself completely included, enjoy PvP quite a bit, and need some way of finding/trading for the items needed. Other people want to try out new PvM builds, but need equipment in order to do it. A big area people will always be running is Uber Trist, which requires very powerful characters to complete.

Basically, there's a bunch of reasons to MF.

In the SPF a common goal is to collect every item, called a "grail"; some crazy people go for a perfect grail, or even an ethereal grail

MF is the only way to get good gear in SP, bar a very generous giveaway, as the trade pool is different to BNet

It can also be rewarding, I still remember when Mephy dropped me my first shako
