Why is all bellybutton lint blue?

I'd make a poll, but I don't even have a good enough idea to come up with poll options. Besides which I don't want to steal Garbad's thunder.

But seriously. Every day I find bellybutton lint. And every day it's the same shade of blue. Doesn't matter what I'm wearing, it's always blue. WHYY??

Sorry, this normally doesn't bother me, but I can't help thinking about it lately. (See what happens when Aeval leaves town for a week?)

The best way to get rid of the blue mystery is to lose weight ;)
try wearing red clothes, that should work

    You're odd.

I almost never have bellybutton lint.

Because you wear too many blue shirts.

I'm wearing a green shirt today. Last time I noticed this phenomenon I was wearing a red one.

odd indeed. you might have some scar in the bellybutton that occasionally sprays out blue non-oxygenized blood that colors it perhaps?
Have a look, then report back

Maybe the lint is coming from inside your belly button. Eat any blue shirts lately?

I think your belly-button is a warp to another dimension...

In truth mine seems to be blue most of the time too.

    Weird....

WHy is bellybutton lint blue? hmmm...that is a question i would never have thought to ask. maybe sweat that becomes trapped in the bellybutton absorbes the dye out of the lint.....

now that i think about it the lint trap in my dryer is always the same color.....maybe it has something to do with high tempuratures and moisture.

Do you always wash your darks after your lights? You might get some of the lint from washing your lights on the inside of your dark clothes, and then it gets stuck in your belly button.

Are you sure you are cleaning the dryer filter after each load?

    Its blue because of sweat.

Funny. I was just flipping through an old maxim this morning and saw the answer to that question.

I have an inny and have yet to pull out lint on a daily basis. Honestly, I don't pull out lint. I stick a soapy finger in my belly button and nothing comes out.

    You, sir are a freak.

Nonsense. I just have more of a gut than you. Remember that thread back a few days about needing to cut Dr. Pepper out of my diet? Yeah, the increase in weight has also seemed to correlate with an increase in belly button depth. I plan on rectifying this problem in the coming weeks/months.

Nonsence, I have a deep belly button, I just clean it everyday. I get no lint. My button goes in to the first knuckly of my pinky. I have yet to pull anything out.
