Why does LS have diminishing returns?

Man this sucks I never knew I would waste so much time. I spent so much time and money (runes) trying to get a +5 2 os greater talon and a second +5 katar. The first claw is INCREDIBLY rare on ladder.

I could have just bought 9 trap GCs and used two bartucs, I'd have almost exactly the same dmg, better stats and higher non-trap skills, esp useful for mind blast and claw block.

my fault for not checking beforehand but who expects diminishing returns!!

Um, if you use x2 +5 trap claws and 9 trap gcs you will have even more damage. Yes it's cheaper to get GCs as opposed to trap claws. LS gains the same amount of damage per level.

9 trap gcs will add like 1800 dmg in total, hardly worth it

edit: that's wierd, I guess I didn't account for all the other equip that I put on at the exact same time I put on my claws that gave +11 to all skills, made it seem like the +10 from the claws added like 6000 dmg when they really didn't so nvm this thread
