Well ,I smoke, started as a kid .The smokers were way cooler guys. Used to smoke Chesterfield but changed to Craven A .But the things have become expensive. Maybe time to quit? I'm just fattening up the taxman.
About languages : I speak German,English, Afrikaans ( almost like Flemish or Dutch), and I have started learning Mandarin Chinese.Not easy,especially the script!

I don't smoke cigarettes and I hate the cigarette smoke. I did smoke randomly (mostly in pub or in during some, erm, 'socializing' trips) and quite a lot (like two packs per evening) or 5 packs a day (but those were only random parties). As the time went I started to dislike the taste and smell (fingers, clothes) and stopped.

Though I don't mind cigars, hookah or quality pipe (with interesting tobacco) (any Peterson fan here?).

The reasons for not smoking outweigh the reasons to continue.

That said, freshly-baked donuts are terrible for you ... and I still eat them.

The reason why I don't smoke is because I don't want to feed those fat asses with even more money than they already get by selling stupid cancersticks.

It also stinks, taste horrible and makes you a prisoner.

A friend of mine has an almost-a-wife-girlfriend who is a heavy smoker.
My friend says his penis smells of tobacco.

For myself I quit when I was around 10 years old. Started out just stealing/selling them, but then had a few a day for awhile, almost burned an entire woods down later tho...haven't smoked since. :thumbsup:

I admit it's about getting high. There's a certain rush of nausea accompanied by increased heart rate and then a calmness of my nerves. I don't think I am addicted yet...My favorite brand is Parliament.

I don't smoke because I live with my father who doesn't smoke. It's one of the rules of staying here and going to school that I've got to follow.

I agree with most other reasons not to smoke: unhealthy, expensive and of course the stench.

I've also never had any peer pressure to start smoking. Strangely, in my class smokers weren't the cool guys, they were the losers.

I smoked for 7 years before quitting cold turkey. Don't believe the lies it's not hard.

I still smoke some hookah though. It's hard not to with a hookah lounge down the street...

I just can't picture myself smoking. I really can't stand the smell of smoke and can't imagine being around cigarettes. I do drink, though, but only one or two drinks a week. Frankly, I nearly can't stand the taste of some types of beer and wine.
