why do amazons use fortitude?

i was looking at arreat summit and the bonuses for putting the runes in an armor dont look too good

20% Chance To Cast Level 15 Chilling Armor when Struck
+25% Faster Cast Rate
+300% Enhanced Damage
+200% Enhanced Defense
+15 Defense

+5% To Maximum Lightning Resist

Body Armor
All Resistances +25-30 (varies)
Damage Reduced By 7
12% Damage Taken Goes To Mana

someone mentioned using fortitude for the damage, so do the weapon bonuses spawn on the armor too? as in, if you wear the armor do you still get Replenish life +7 and 300% enhanced damage?

i've never seen one before so I'm wondering how uber this really is. The one stat which is really worth it is the 300% enhanced damage. Can more than double most zon's damage.

Throw in a 'Faith' and you've got a very nice character. That's one of the new runewords I haven't acquired yet.

300% enhanced damage is very nice, although the + to life, res, and decent defense is nothing to sneeze at either. That chilling armor adds something like 5k+ def on my ww barb. :thumbsup:

Yeah, i use Fort on my Might merc as well as my strafazon. He has his in an etheral Kracken with 823 base defense.

When the chilling armor kicks in puts my strafazon defense at 5,200.

Merc carries Pride polearm with the concentration aura, +Might aura, puts my WF max damage at little over 5,000 as well. :thumbsup:

Is expensive though, and took me a litttle over a year of trading to get to this point.... :clap:
