I was playing and i got killed, once i went back to town connection lost, and i lost all of my equipment. I had a Arreat's Face too that i lost. I thought my body would be back in town once i logged back on but it wasn't. I lost it and no i only play single player and if i ever play open bnet i backup my save file. it's not worth it to lose it all again.

was the game over 5 minutes long? Because you could have gone back to get it.

Don't drop good gear to id stuff. Pop back to town or leave an open slot to pick up at least one item of gear is my opinion.

    Tough loss though.

I never do risky stuff like dropping something to id another item. Nope, never done that, not ever. <---that's my story and I'm sticking to it. :)

Well, let have take a guess ...
The fact that you chose to drop the cold skiller must mean all the other items in the inventory are worth more than that - you can't be that poor :p
