I'm sure of these:5Ws said:Seriously, exactly what full names do the three Ancients have? How about the ones in Chaos Sanctuary? These are the most common uniques that you see EVEN if you get rushed, but I doubt if anyone can actually remember word by word.
See, just proves my point, these uniques we see at least 3 times every time we make a character, and we can hardly remember all of them. Nevermind a minor little boss in Act3.Oscuro said:I'm sure of these:
* Grand Vizier of Chaos
* Lord de Seis
* Infector of Souls
Guessing on these, will edit to include actual results when I look them up:
* Korlic the Protector
* Madawc the Guardian
* Talic the Overseer
Edit: It's Talic the Defender, all the rest are correct. I just knew that one didn't look right when I put it down.
Well, can't you cut me some slack here? :lol: I mean, seriously, you only see the ancients' full names if you hover over their statues... not during battle.5Ws said:See, just proves my point, these uniques we see at least 3 times every time we make a character, and we can hardly remember all of them. Very true, but at the time you can check the mods, only their short names are shown. Their full names are only shown either before or after the battle:Bullet-Tooth Tony said:to Oscuro:
If you're playing Hardcore, it's a suicide not to check mods on the Ancients, once they just spawned.
Well, maybe you misunderstood my point, why did I bring up the most common uniques in the game? To prove that EVEN if you rush, and see those uniques every single day, you don't remember their full name. Therefore it is common to not recognize a minor boss in Act3, that's not even needed to pass the act, and that you have seen for only a few times. Recognizing Talic is no big deal since you see him 3 times every time you build a char, now what if he was the one hidden in a non-essential quest (not needed to pass the act) in Act3?slappy sam said:5WS, your point is (to me) invalid. He doesn't know who Witch Doctor Endugu is. My point is that it is different knowing who someone is and knowing the full name of them. For example I might not know the full name of the Ancients, but if someone says Talic the Defender, I know that is an ancient. My point is that he can't recognize the name and you are comparing that to being able to reiterate (sp?) the entire names of people. Well... npcs.
