Who had the bright idea of censoring the number eighty-eight?

Yes, I know the connotations of the number, but seriously? In a forum for Diablo 2, a game which has all kinds of numbers in the stats of its items, among others, nobody thought that censoring a number might be disruptive for a lot of legitimate users? Say, what's the base Strength requirement of a Battle Belt, again? Oh, that's right - it's ** Strength. Genius. Who came up with this, anyway?

It's a neonazi code for *eil *itler, H is the 8th letter of the alphabet. As Noodle said, it's in the default word filter list. I agree that it's silly.

It's like that since we are on XenForo.

Besides, XenForo isn't from Germany, so I'm not sure about the kind of hypocrisy about adding 87+1 to the word filter.
