which to work on

hi every1, i didnt really know where to put this post so i decied to put it here...well anways i now have a lvl 75 frenzy barb (and was planin to get him to around lvl 85) with these stats & equipment:

frenzy: max
bo: max
shout:15
sword mast: max
1 to nat resits and stone skin

wepons: (grandfather at 81) doombrings & flamebellow
armor: duriels shell
boots: ik
gloves: ik
belt: gloves
helm: arreats
rings and ammy: cathens, mandal, & 1 to barb skill lvl ammy

and i was wonderin if i should max out shout or start to pump up double swing so my frenzy does more dmg... so basicly im asking if u would prefer defense of dmg ( list for pvp & pvm)... and if so could u make some suggestions if i should be wearing diffrent armor.... well thats it THX

anyways, your setup is half-decent for pvm but for pvp, frenzy is NOT a good choice. against melee, you're ruined without a shield; against casters, they teleport away faster than you run.
if there's any one piece of equipment you should change, it's definitely the duriel's shell. it's a good leveling item but by your level (75) you should be using something with higher defense. i'm not going to be ridiculous and suggest runewords like enigma or coh, but the elite uniques should be your goal here -- leviathan, steel carapace, templar's. of those three, i think your best bet is templar's -- relatively cheap, high defense, str and vit bonuses.

whether to max out shout or pump double swing is really a matter of preference. personally, i find that barbs are natural tanks so excessive defense past 15k (in pvm) is pretty unnecessary. i would have suggested 10 in shout and the rest in double swing, but since you already have 15 in shout, then i would say pump double swing.

boo exile. I have used duriel's shell as endgame equipment on many barbs usually until I can make a runeword armor. It has worked well since duriel's can easily top 700 def by lvl 85. It's especially great for the cannot be frozen on untwinked frenzy barbs that don't have a ravenfrost since duriel's drops more often (at least in my experience of 100s of duriel's vs 10s of ravens. If I were to substitute any armor, it would probably be gladiator's bane, since it also has cbf.

Second, 10k def is enough for pvm and 12k is comfortable range, at least from my experience. Def is even less of a concern for warcry frenzy barbs since they'll have most melee attacks negated due to stun.

Aside from those two concerns the pvp and shout advice is inline with my opinions.

For a frenzy barb defense is less of a problem. I would worry on resist. I find with a frenzy barb you leech so much its survivable with low defense.

well, i guess duriel's CAN be used but then you'd have to be slightly more careful with other equipment to maintain a decent amount of defense.

and who said anything about untwinked?! =P

gui is right though. now that i actually carefully look at the equip list i realize you're missing a ravenfrost, so.. yeah. make sure you have 'cannot be frozen'. gladiator's bane is cool for that plus poison damage reduction :D
