Which of the Paly Hybrid?

Also I saw your offer on that grief BA; I just calculated it out and I'm leaning towards PB grief since it hits 7 frame smite automatically while that zerk requires 15 IAS to hit 8 frame. However, it does have more range which would be useful vs. barbs so I dunno :/

Do you think I'll be smiting at all?

And anyways, I'm wearing Highlord which will get it to 8 frame. As far as I'm concerned range > speed in Charge?

Also quick q.

for libby, do I use Vigor or Might or Conc or Fanat when charging?

I think Vigor into Conc for desynching + invisible hammers and Conc for charging into them. Skills on the Mage and Libby?

Lighting is too easy to resist, so with mage, what you can use? Only hammers? Pure hammers are weak. With libby you have strong charge, smite (4k/7fps) easily) and strong hammers. I think that libby is strongest paladin build. Your opponent cant block hammer dmg and dr is reducted to 50% so with 12k grief its
1k dmg (1/6penalty and 50%dr). You are very strong. But if you are mage, and opponent have stacked lih res and light sorb... Have seen few of these. + you have problems against pure fohers.

Oh please, if you stack light resist, you lose FCR/FHR/etc. Hammer is weak??? On a mage, 8-10k hammer is easily achieved.

Also libbys would probably have problems with pure fohers anyway. Either build can do as well.

I would think libby > mage when vs. a foher with high lvl of convic.

The only way you can beat a foher with mage is either stack higher lvl conv, or get him still by having simple foh war till you can tele hammer him.

There's lots of confusion concerning charge and range; since with zerk you'll be in weapon range longer thus your charge has a higher chance of failing, or so the legend goes. I have no idea, but I'll be smiting. You aren't using shako for a libby right?

I can imagine that being true for PvM where there are lots of other enemies nearby that might get in your zerk range but not pb, but in PvP failed charge = opponent either blocks or dodges or evades or too high def w/e so even after charge they will still be within your range whether you use pb or zerk.

I'm planning to get a coa on my libby.

The truth about charge and weapon range, however is that a longer range weapon will keep you within normal attack range longer. If you're within weapon range and try to charge you'll only do a normal attack which is much less effective damage and attack rating wise. Therefore it is often an advantage to have a short range weapon on a charger.

I think you're wrong. Whether a weapon with range of 1 or 5, after you make contact with charge but fail, your opponent will still be in your weapon range anyway because you just charged and made contact (even though you didn't strike).

Doesnt change KB even with a failed attempt?

I remember with my LLD charger people were getting chain kbed without me even hitting them on some attacks...

Libbys are strong strong strong. And regarding the pb vs ba for charger - I have actually done some basic tests and there is no difference in terms of chain together charges.

Here is what I was thinking for my NL libby:

40/15 Valk - Fort - Greif BA - Spirit - Arach - Ravenx2 - Maras - Trangs Glove.
9pcomb + 10x32020.

Stash the usual favourites - hoto/enigma/coa/dungo/hoz/res stuff

Gives - 125fcr, max smite and solid hammers.

Is this true....? Someone verify this plz.

McCool, I like your gear setup, but I feel 125 fcr can be sacrificed for the benefits CoA + non fcr rings gives.

Lib.

Optimum gear setup:

'Ber''Ber' CoA
SKnuckle (GG Amulet on West; can be perm)
'Enigma'
35% FCR/45% Res 'Spirit' Sacred Targe
'Grief' PB
Arachnid Mesh
Trang's Glove
WBrands
'CtA'/'Spirit'
Ravenfrost
BK Ring or Str/Dex/Life/Res Ring
4x PComb w/ 35+ Life
Anni
Torch
Rest is Vita/Res SCs

10k Hammer - EASILY, 86%+ FHR, enough Str & Dex from gear you only need about 50 into Dex & rest can be Vit, high Life, 75% FCR, good Res

You might wanna try dual stat tri res boots aka Dtreads instead of Wbrands since Coa+Spirit+1 fhr already hits 86 BP
