Which merc for a Zealot?

I'm making a conventional zealot (maxing fanat, zeal, sacrifice, holy shield and defiance) but i'm not sure what merc i should play with. Defiance one is cool for the defense, but i like the might one too since it increases my damage (also his) a lot. And then holy freeze, helps tanking and it's good for the phisical immunes so my merc can do the job better.

I have heard about the Exile, which gives a lvl 13-16 defiance aura but i'm not sure if i'll have it someday. If i had it my doubt would be betwen might merc and holy freeze. Which one is the BEST at the high end game? really hard for me to decide, thanks in advance :)

Depends on what you need, really...

Without listing your potential gear and such, I can't really just say what I would feel is best.

And don't forget about the blessed aim merc... they can help a lot if you're in need of AR.

Concerning the gear my gear just sucks, only thing i have i like is the not bad weapon Nord's something and i don't have any +1 skill just so that you get an idea =P (im re-rolling my zealot who is lvl 82 atm but its too hard for me to worth something in hell, so i'll wait and stay in nighmare with the new one till i get some decent gear)

I'm gonna invest lots of time on this char and no matter how long it takes to get decent gear, just wanyted to know the usually best merc for zealots once you get nice gear. Anyway if it depends that much it'll be kinda difficult to be sure about one. Anyway thanks a lot for reminding me the blessed aim merc :)

Unless you're in dire need of defense or AR... I'd definitely agree with wvx on this one.

If you don't need anything inpaticular, then you just have to pick between more damage, or slower/cold enemies. Either way, I'm sure you'll be satisfied with the outcome.

For something a bit different, try using a ACT 1 cold merc and giving her a kuko for a weapon. I am using a cold rogue right now w/ a kuko and she takes care of most of the phys immunes I encounter going thru the game. You may need to change her gear around a bit as you enter hell difficulty but they can still be a life saver when you get swamped and she is picking off the monsters on your back. Just a thought.
