First, BO is not an aura but a warcry.
There is no pure BO build I think. You might spend 20 points in BO and 20 in its Shout (synergy), but that's all you really need. Maxing BC is pointless.
There are some builds though that rely heavily on BO:
- Singer Barbs, that use Warcry to stun and kill monsters.
- Wolfbarbs (using Wolfhowl); since you don't need to invest in Combat Skills with this character (you use Feral Rage from the helm), there are more points to invest in warcries.
It's best to consider BO a backup skill though.

Pretty much any barb build will want maxed BO - I haven't found one that doesn't. Use the search function to find any of the thousands of threads asking for max BO IIRC its slvl 56 + 2 if you get a skill shrine..
There isn't that big potential in a BO build since no matter how big your life is the BO aint gonna kill for you...

lol. I am making this char for a prebuff for our uber runs. as I don't know much about barbs, I am trying to build a pure BO barb. I want bo and its synergies maxed completely. How do I do that (equipment and skillpoint distrubution). I am looking for the highest possible lvl on the warcry.

stats: lots in strength to wear gear, who cares about the rest, you're not planning on actually killing anything are you?
gear:
+3warcry/+3 Bo helm, or a +3 BO helm made into a delerium for +5 BO
+3 warcry ammy
Myth armour (+2 barb skills) or CoH or Enigma (your just after the +2 skills here, hence i used Myth on mine for budgetary constraints)
1x +3bo or better CtA + 1x +3 warcry weapon (total +7 BO, you can use 2x +3 wc weps for +6)
arach sash
2x Soj or BK rings
9x WC gc's
torch
anni
= lvl 53 or 54 BO (depending on helm & weapon choices)
max: bo, shout, battle command

Maxing Battle Command is worth it. It increases the duration of BO/Shout by a minute and 35 seconds, and greatly increases the duration of itself (over three minutes).
Many people don't understand the purpose of a BO barb (aka softcore players). BO barbs don't fight, barely if at all. They sit in town and buff everyone, then they sit in town or leech in the game. There's basically no other use for them other than BO. So instead of there being "no reason to max BC" there's no reason to max anything other than Battle Command.
In SC, it doesn't matter if you die, but in HC, a lot of people with double CD-keys will want to buff themselves (or buff their team+themselves but also play the game).
If you're softcore, prolly doesn't matter, but then again if you're softcore, why are you making a dedicated BO barb? You're probably better off maxing BO and 1 in shout/BC, and not worrying about a +5/6 BO helm switch with 9 WC GCs and a torch.

I asked him to show me his equip, He had these two spears of echo +3 to WarCrys. I have two javs, that are +2 to WC, and a +1 to WC, and a Ammy of +2 to Warcrys, But Im only lvl 26
....
After playing with a lvl 32 BO barb, its freaking great for him, and any physical attack party members. He hit the BO, and it was stunning.

Actually, singers do ok with 10 pts BO. They need all the spares into synergies. It's only at around level 90+ that they get to max BO.

and that's all. If I summed it well, after battle command you'll have level 55 battle orders, 57 with shrine (56/58 with 6 BO helm)

Good call on the +4 on CtA. I hadn't thought of that. For your helm choices you could also include a rare +2 barb skills, +3 BO helm. Was going to use the delirium option when one of these dropped for me, meaning now I just have to wait for that Echoing Helm with +3 BO drops. I also forgot about Myth - that's a lot better than hunting for a +2 valor, or wasting the CoH or Enigma on a utility character.
As far as uses go, HC chars find BO barbs and Enchant sorcs indispensible for leveling their characters. But SC chars can find uses too, such as pre-buffing for ubers. One thing I didn't see mentioned is the Horking you can do with maxxed Warcries barbs.
Just switch out some MF gear after you give them their 10 minute warcries, and follow them around and Hork everything they kill. It's an alternative to doing mindless MF runs at least.

Actually, the 2nd CtA will just be +1 all skill levels, and will be missing the +3 BO. This is because BO on a CtA is an oskill, so +3 max in total. So the best weapon choices would be: CtA and +3 Warcries weapon.
