Which Grief Better : OPINION PLEASE!

hi, so im thinking of making a grief with a Collosus Blade, but its going to take me AWHILE to get a 39+ ias one ( since 39ias is the ww break point ) so thats why im wondering if i should just make one out a of a zweihander. what would you choose ? zweihanders ias breakpoint is any ias.

Well make a zwei hander then the damage difference will be negligable anyway

well in all actuality couldnt you make a grief out of a low low level weapon, kep the STR req way down but still achieve the damage as a zerker or ne other "big" weapon??

zwei is pretty low- but if you want to hit on all points range/ias/#possible sockets I don't think you could go lower.

flamburgh str req 70, zwei, req 125... 49/95 for dex, both are 3 range, -10 speed and have 5 max sockets

The damage drop from Zweihander to Flamberge may seem negligable when looking at the base stats of the weapon. However, the thing that makes Grief so goddamned amazing is the fact that it adds base damage, which gets multiplied by all of the %ED of every other piece of gear. The more base damage you have, the higher your overall damage will be because of %ED, so even a small drop like that ends up being multplied and maginfied many, many times over.

Which doesn't matter. It's only a few hundred damage, as grief does not have on weapon ED like BotD. It's really that the on weapon ED that matters, as the grief damage itself is also multiplied by all those off weapon ED, and will shadow out the minor drop from using a worse base weapon. Try calculating with hard numbers and you will see what I mean.
