When to go to He11: a n00b question

I'm playing as an Amazon at lvl 42 now using mainly Strafe and a BurritoCannon. I have gotten rushed to Baal on NM, but haven't killed him yet. I don't get hit that much on nightmare, but I can't really take down any bosses by myself.

I guess my main ? is what level is generally recommended to start playing on Hell difficulty?

My stats with gear are something like:

110 str
160 dex
base vit
base nrg

and I'm doing about 360-960 damage with Strafe

Sorry if this is too vague, just wanted suggestions on how to gauge if you're ready or not to play in hell.

Hell is a big step up from NM. you want to be sure to be minimum level 60, and have a way to deal with immunes. Also, if you are having trouble killing bosses, expect to have trouble killing regular mobs right out the gate. I recommend getting some crushing blow if you are physical damage, otherwise load up on +skill items. If you don't already have at least mid-level runewords, get those. they are cheap and almost as good as hell level uniques if put in the right items.

At L42, hardcore players leave normal Baalruns behind and you already want to enter hell... :azn:

If you are going to kill monsters on your own, L42 is too early. I wouldn't do that with a strafer before L70-75 without gear like Fortitude plus a Faith bow or WF (the latter has a level req in the 70s anyway). A few characters can enter hell mode somewhere in the 60, but probably not a strafer whose best piece of equipment is a Buriza.

I suggest to make nightmare Baal runs. At L42, each solo Baal run should give you 1-2 levels.

Strafers suck a bit against bosses, but at a high level and with a better weapon, you can kill hell Diablo with GA while running around him in circles if he breathes or vomits fire. She might not be the quickest at it, but who would leave out the creamtop at the end of a CS clear? Hell Baal is not worth the effort, however.
