What's your favorite RPG of all time?

My favorite RPG of all time would have to be Fable for XBOX. Now I've never been a big fan of the XBOX, but Fable alone made me want to buy one. It is put together so finely and in-depth to make it a great game. If you haven't tried Fable then give it a chance and you may have another favorite. Now what's you favorite RPG ever?

I also like Fable, my gf even got me the sepcial edition Fable Crystal Xbox for Xmas though it is missing the all important online componant which would make things even better. I of course also love a certain RPG that we cannot mention in this forum.

Hmm, it's tough between KOTOR (can't beat that plot), and Baldur's Gate 2. I'm gonna go with Baldur's Gate 2 because of the characters, and the quests, and the ridiculous number of spells. It's just a fantastically well put together game.

Played Fable for a bit at E3 last year. It was fun, but I never bought it. My favorite RPG of all time is Fallout. High in the running for my favorite game of all time too.

I'm going to agree with Jonesy. KOTOR was rather awesome. I need to go make KOTOR II avliable to myself.

    Oh Boy, got too many.

I guess the main one that comes to mind is Chrono Trigger. Like FF6, awesome characters and great music. But has a nice replay factor because of the new game+.

As for the rest, I really don't have THE favorite, but I can think of a select few that are highly addictive. I believe both games cant be mentionned in this forum.

Toss up between FF 6 and Chrono Trigger.

If anyone says FF 8, I will kill them.

I actually liked FF8, but it wasn't my favorite. FF Tactics was also a great RPG, if you could call it that since it was more of a strategy game.

I have too many to just name one, but Chrono Trigger and Chrono Cross are both right near, if not at, the top of the list.

I just started playing Champions of Norrath and have a feeling that it may become my favorite RPG. I'm loving it so far and I am finding it way more challenging than Balders Gate 2, D2 and other hack'n'slash rpgs I have played.

If you are referring to the original Champions of Norrath, let me definitely recommend the sequel. Return to Arms is much better, and the two new classes are great fun.

Definitely FF7. FF8 had some redeeming factors. I love the plot setup of being a guild, basically...could be really interesting. The play graphics were innovative at the time, too. I played that card game for hours. A few others that I really enjoyed back in the day were Legend of Legaia and Legend of Dragoon

Morrowind. Massive non-linear world, amazing graphics for its time, and endless replay value through mods. What's not to like?
