Not a bug. Any boss run is not guaranteed to give you good stuff. But if you have some magic find and keep running him you will find some good stuff.

- Just a ''bad luck''. But, that is how the things are; Mr. Mephy will usually always drop at lest something though he also knows to wedge; Mr. Baal is usually droping ''from time to time'' while Mr. Pindle, he, Mr Pindle can leave you with clean hands even after few hundret runs. Then comes the -but- they all have their better and worser sides...
- My suggestion is if you want to start decent item pool goin' to get a fast Sorc and run NM Memphy, and perhaps Andy as they take a lot less time while still aren't unable to drop something ''special'' what NM Ball can. That will after say 200-300 runs leave you with pretty nice basic stuff to enable you smooth Hell Meph where it isn't bad to stop for a 1-2K or even 3000 runs until you have almost everything what you want. After that you can run Hell Baal for experience and every item in the game
