It's the rarest unique in the game, and crappy.
Well said. People just want it for bling value, just like gemstones such as diamonds in real life.

maybe the "slain monsters rest in peace" part is the reason.
nature's peace ring also has that mod, and its way cheaper. You can always equip it when needed (nihlatak etc)
But the armor, its just rare and cool. Enough so ;)

Too bad Tyraels is Indestructible, so it can't spawn ethereal. Eth Tyraels would be pretty useful as merc armor (although expensive as well). Str/Res/CBF and 20% fhr if you stick a shael in it (for the breakp) would be pretty good I think.

If it wasn't so damn rare(read: expensive) I'd use one on many of my chars if I still played D2.
Sure it's not the best armor out there, but neither is Arkaine's and I'd use that too just for it's defense and overall usefulness.
Same with Tyrael's, you can't honestly say it lacks useful mods and it might even be the best armor for certain builds.

Most people are just blinded by +1 to Teleport and +300% Enhanced Damage to find use for the less popular armors.

Well it just gives you 1337 points hehe, been trying to find one since ladder season 1, but no luck still, even though i did about 2k pit runz on ladder 1, and now over 3.5 k baal runz this season so far.

Personally i think its quite sexy.

CBF, Str, Res, High defence, all for 0 str put in.

Might be a good armour for a Wolf or Bear.

After doing a quick check of all other non-weapon uniques, only TM, Black Hades and Seraph's Hymn (ladder-only) have additional damage against demons. BH has 30-60% compared to TM, but has two extra sockets to put Pearl jewels into to make up for the difference. Even if BH spawned at 30 and TM with 100 all that's needed is two 35% to even it out, less if otherwise. SH has damage against undead, as well, so I believe we can successfully rule out that one individual property as the main reason.

Objectively, the rest might be ruled out, too. Anyone care to do some work?

Well - Its not that bad - some useful mods.
Does requirements -100% extend to everything else you want to use.

It may not be an enigma, but then again given the rareity of the runes needed to make an enigma very very very few people could ever hope to own one without dupers or doing 100's of Hellforge runs.

That said "Slain monsters rest in peace" - I got my own way of ensuring they dont come back to haunt me - Corpse explosion all the way :D

And pali's can just use redemption aura..

And any melee char can use Pheonix shield, wich is a cheaper and oftenly more usefull "all around" option.

about Tyrael's... sure it has -100% requirements, but, it's clvl 84..meaning, if you need the -reqs, you can't actually play before lvl 84..:\

Now, if the armour had like and add.... +3 to all skils... THEN it would be worth the price it has IMO..

and fortitude has +300%ed to all monsters. sigh. i know its a runeword (i know if i dont put this explanation, flaming shall begin). but, we should compare it against an armor. its like oranges and apples.
