Yep.. once the durability reaches 0, it's useless.

But when sticking it on a merc, it doesn't lose durability... So all's not lost. You can also produce armors with insane amounts of defense.

Not a bad idea for zealots who need a hella amount of Def.

    Figure this:

    1) Stone is cheap to make imo anyways.

    2) It being eth will allow INSANE Def on the armor.

    3) You can wear until it is destroyed and make another :D

Or better yet, use it on a zelot till it hits 1 durability, and then you retire it to a merc, or trade it to someone who needs it for a merc. Doesn't matter if it has 10,000 dur or 1 dur, a merc could care less.

I got a 2.5k armour waiting for my defiance merc at lvl 54. I'v seen stones hit 3.5k, so it's pretty crazy defense. And they are pretty cheap to make rune-wise.

I know of a couple ppl with indestructable stones that where zod'ed back in .09. Then had there rune/jewels removed in 1.1 and are now indestructable 3k+ defense armours. Lucky people who choose to keep these around for the patch, or maybe they got some tips from an inside source beta testing the patch?

Probably left over from those stupid dupers with zod's to burn in 1.09 that wanted 120/45's with a little more defense and style than would otherwise be attainable.

Not possible, how would you zod a runeword? An besides, The "Stone" runeword wasn't available before 1.10 came out. So it definately wasn't possible, you must be thinking of something else. Or maybe you just wasn't clear enough about what you meant, please explain.

Maybe it didn't come out right... That's not what I meant to say at all...

I meant to say I know of a couple people who now have indestructable stone armours (that where formally zoded 40/15 jeweld armours in .09). How is this possible you ask? Well like fonis pointed out, some people had 4 socket etheral armours back in .09 that they wanted to use maybe for "style" or for the extra defense. Whatever the case may be, they put a Zod and 3x 40/15 jewels in these .09 armours. Once 1.1 came around, the unsocket bug came into existance. So they abused it, they unsocketed these 120/45/zod armours and to there delight, Zod's Indestructable Mod stayed with the item (much like alot of those bugged etheral indestructable .09 bartucs). So then they added Stone's runes and bingo, 3.5k defense indestructable stone armour.

    Hope that is clearer...

i think you could zod things early in 1.10 and then unsocket and it would work

That's exactly what I though you might have meant, but it didn't came out that way in your previous post. Well, this clears it up :) However, why anyone would ever put a zod in such an armor in 1.10 beats me, though I would like such a 3500+ defense indestructable armor too :p
