Whats with Andy

I finally got good enough items to start doing hell andy, but the thing is, her drops were just god awful. At one point, 3 runs in a row dropped like this:

Bolts
Greater Healing Potion
Super Healing potion
Arrows
Scroll of Town Portal
4011 gold

No joke, that is exactly what dropped. Was she like nerfed or something while i was gone??

There's an announcment about colors at the top...something about the style sheets making some colors impossible to read.

As for andy, andy is a stupid head.

@Vin: Because I haven't deleted all the characters on the accounts that you have on your /f list! That and this season I'm playing SC and HC... different accounts. Last season taught me one helluva lesson about putting everything in the same accounts. Past three days I've been working on an SC Enchanter, god awful slow because the SC morons level in places they shouldn't be.

Oh yeah... Andy is always that way.

Andy, one night, dropped me 2 shakos and 3 war travs, among the rest. Today I ran her and I found nothing in over 60 runs. Luck sucks.

Sometimes it's nothing, and then I mean.. nothing, a stack of bolts is quite good actually!

I dont think ther is a MF run that doesnt drop at least 9 bad to 1 good or more and sometimes it will run 90 bad till you get 10 good all in a string.

This si simply why I have my MFing ways........Simply put, I MF in short spurts and look for trends. Ill hit Andy/Meph for 3-5 runs maybe a tad more and if they dont show promis I just go do somehting else. If they show promise I will run em till they show no promise again.

i am a firm beleiver in streaks while MFin. My best days of MFin have always been short and sweet liek 10-20 runs while if I set my mind to really MF and do many more the drops just arent rewarding.

i am also a firm beleiver in MFin Zones........if act bosses arent dropping and I really want to MF I will switch up and jsut run around to Super Uniques, and if they dont pan out Ill hit heavy boss areas or massive monster numbers for drops. Typically this strat works out but there are ofcourse times nothing drops but most of the time it pans out to give me at least a butt load of gems and charms to play with!

Andy/Meph/Baal all the time will give you a lot of unhappy play! Switch it up a bit and you jsut might be suprised of the outcome!

sounds to me that you didnt do the andy bug correctly. She drops crap if you dont do the first drop thing. bad exp and she rocks mercs, imo without the first drop she doesnt seem worth doing.

And then dieing, without loot I might add, and having my potions drop almost a full screen away from my body. Yeah, great fun. Apparently my running to the right to avoid a plethora of arrows didn't keep me from standing in the same spot and getting killed. I hate when my screen doesn't show me what is really happening.

Yes your eyes can deceive you! You must focus and feel the packets around you and then and only then will you not be fooled by those foolish pupils of yours .

Yes, this sounds like its the case for Saladshaker. If andy is 'bugged' she cannot drop gold.

To 'bug' andy, you need to make a character who kills her in hell and talks to warriv immediately in that game. From then on, for that character, andy will be 'bugged' and will drop 1st drop every time. I don't know if I fully believe it, but that's the rumor.

Of course 98% of people DO talk to warriv after killing andy the first time, so its not usually a problem. But if she drops gold she is NOT bugged, and you need to make a different character to get the good drops off of her. At least that's the rumor.

Gosh I like the rumors. They are always so rampant. What else would you do after Andy? Talk to Cain? Wait, 98% of people do not talk to Cain because they never SAVE Cain. At least that's my new rumor I'm spreading!

In the Strategy forum they have a guide for finding SoJs. Download Andy bot, set it up, and you're off! Ok not really, but he explains why NM Andy has the best chance, and optimal MF, and so on. He also explains the Andy bug. You have to kill Andy in whatever difficulty for the first time, then talk to Warriv and go to act 2. I did some runs with Holy from Asia who had done this, and had good drops.

make a mf sorceress that has not killed andy.

Now make a BO barb that has.

Make games with BO barb ( so quest is 'cannot complete')

Kill andy with MF sorceress. Only items will drop (no gold, potions, scrolls, etc). Ive only tested this on meph, not andy, so no guarantees.

Yep, everyone knows Poison doesnt kill faste enuff unless you have massive +gear for it or you are a Merc who doesnt know how to drink pots!!!

God it is pretty stupid they dont heal themsleves and then when you heal on shrines and NPCs they heal?!?!?

Man i be NONE of characters have EVER been Andy bugged, as i always hit Cain after a Boss kill as thos damn ID Scrolls are expensive!
