What's the point of non-ladder?

Imo easier to acquire wealth on ladder. I restarted ladder this season after losing lots of stuff last summer. Wouldn't like to trade for grief/forti/whatnot on nl...
yeah the pro of l is you get to get gear for a cheaper price, then sell on nl and pretty much make bank.
but if all your friends chill on nl, you take dueling seriously (who wants to remake their primary dueling char every reset? not me o_o) etc., it seems right to just stick to nl.

No the main reason is that clan wars are all on NL.
Also, people aren't playing legit on NL. For example, 3/20/20s, Soul spurs, 70/15 etc..

Playing ladder is a good way for new players or returning players to acquire wealth, which is much faster than nl. Unless you have a supplier on nl that gets you free items. However there are almost no decent duelers who play ladder since everyone who plays ladder is basically there to acquire wealth or for the lack of pvp competition to make themselves look good.
I play ladder and NL and basically i find nl better as it has so many items, i.e pre .10 items, items taken from clasic and some other very old items in existance. Also the masses of dupes i.e 32020s sc 290 psn sc we have a bugged tal armour which is good and a bugged Belt and varius dupped res boots.
Also you will find the better duelers are nl due to the fact that ppl have access to this kinda gear and makes builds like barbs (BvC) Smiters etc alot more stronger and viable, i.e a smiter easing max dr without any problems without using CoA or V/T etc.
I mean charms like near legit 32020s cost too much on ladder to be feasible to have a inventry with 20-30 of these charms.

well i play both and looking at the quality of ladder duelers compared to say wot i see on nl, nl is better for duelers in general and i was not trying to state having better stuff = better duelers, Im stating many advantages NL has and my own oppinion from dueling on both realms.pedu said:

Smiters are not all that, but having more gear flexability and setup can make a hell of a difference, same goes for other builds. I.e look at those sorc builds reaching block and 200 fcr using wizzygloves on the US nl realms and as i said Smiters on nl reaching max dr without the need for CoA ber ber and leaving a flexable helm slot free to use and still getting 45% dr without a helm.

If you want to start from scratch in order to compete nl,ladder is the fastest way.
