What's the mlvl reduced experience thing...

How much experience gain is reduced if you're way above the monster level? I'm 94 right now. Also the highest I saw was an area level 85(except summit) but the pit is 85, would it be more efficient to kill pits than the CS?

I mean pits is way easier..

another question the +% experience from anni, does that factor in with the reduced experience? Like for example say I only get 80% of normal experience from killing a monster that's 10 levels lower than me. With 10% anni would it only be reduced by 90%?

how is exp split between the killer and the rest of party if at all?

- #1 You will get IIRC: experience x(monster lvl//character lvl), experience = # of that monster. After lvl 70 there are strict penalties which will i try to finde and post correctly.. anyway after 95 you shouldn't get more than 1% total.

- #2 Anis is aded like if you'r getting 2% of total possible it will add you 0.2%->10% of what you'r getting. Not 2+10 hehe 12% :) On long-run say 10,000 you still save 1000 runs. Very good if you ask me..

- #3 Everyone in the party are getting same amount of exp with exception of the killer who will get 5% more. Like gold, the one who picks-up gold pile gets 5% more when it's split. After all the penalties and what-not ofc.

The mlvl/charlvl modification is only made with monsters of sa higher level than your character. For those with a lower level it's the more severe modification made for < L25 characters which is a correction proportional to (char_lvl-mon_lvl)² or something like that. On top of that there's a high-level penalty which comes in its own multiplier.

At about L94, Diablo and Baal themselves will become the most rewarding XP sources, respectively the least frustrating ones (and Nihlathak to a certain extent, but he's just a super-unique) while all the other monsters become less and less rewarding, including Baal minions and bosses in L85 areas.

Not all monsters in L85 areas give the same XP. AFAIK there is a factor like mon_xp/area_xp as well, so the higher the original monster level before setting it to the area level, the more XP, but the difference isn't that great... or something like that. Orphan posted something about that recently, but I don't remember details - I lose interest in leveling characters as soon as I have a single L93 one :p.

Annihili and XP shrines have their own multiplicator, so they won't be added to some other percentage, but increase XP by a factor of (1+bonus%), just like the high-level penalty (see first paragraph).

the killer does not get more XP than the others. Maybe he gets the rest if the division produces a reminder, but when getting 10k XP, these extra 0-7 XP aren't really worth mentioning, in particular when you need a billion to level up.
